Continental breakfast was very good and plentiful. Loved the fresh flowers in the lobby area. Fitness room was fantastic. Great location, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Will definitely stay here again.”

“As a faculty member at The University of Delaware, my family and I have been staying at The Virden Center several times a year for forty years. The buildings are now slightly ramshackle, but they offer everything we need for short (2-5 day) stays. They are also reasonably priced, blessedly quiet, and situated in a verdant meadow where we can see deer, foxes, swamp birds, and very few other humans. The Center is just a mile or so from Route 1, which can be crazy busy in the summer with drivers hell bent on shopping at the outlets. The staff at the Virden Center for all these years have treated us with informal, gracious affection, making our stays safe and comfortable.”
