We went on new years eve. Two ladies helped a lot. Holly and another lady were very helpful and polite.

Was shopping in the Delaware area and came to the Walgreens in Magnolia. Very pleasant management staff customer service there is wonderful clean store very organized. I think I spoke with a gentleman by the name is CJ was a manager and a young man by the name of Alex, they were very helpful and kind and courteous if you need anything and you’re out that way stopping because they will definitely take good care of you. I enjoy shopping there.

This incident took place at approximately 4:35 on 9/13/2024. My husband entered the Walgreens located at 52 W Birdie Ln, Magnolia, De. After attempting the ATM and the transaction being blocked by the bank, he walked around about to start shopping. The cashier was behind the front counter when he entered the store. He got towards the back of the store and the male employee tried to subtly follow him, going to the photo center. The employee went so far as to call the on shift manager, Holly out from the back. There were other shoppers, at least 6 other people in the store that were not followed, my husband was not even in the store a total of 5 whole minutes. He attempted the ATM at 4:33pm, and by 4:42pm he was back in his vehicle and leaving. They blatantly used their prejudice to intimidate him. They stared and followed him around while he attempted to buy some Halloween attire for our children. This is truly disgusting behavior and this needs to be reprimanded immediately. Just because some is a person of color does not mean they are a criminal. My husband is the branch manager for a Pest Control located in here. He was still in his uniform that literally has his name on the shirt. This was not only a shock because this is our neighborhood Walgreens but because it’s 2024 and you would think people have more sense of community.

If you ever want to be subjected to gross incompetence at multiple levels of management, just ask to speak with the Pharmacy Manager or the Store Manager.
According to them, a current unexpired military ID is not a valid form of ID when purchasing a behind-the-counter unscheduled controlled substance. Which is weird because neither 16 Del. C. § 47 nor Public Law 109–177 prohibits the use of federally-issued ID is for identification purposes.
This begs the question: are they really this incompetent? Was it done maliciously, or maybe even for my safety? Or maybe it's just that "their system won't allow it," as they suggested? Well, considering that they are required to use the NPLEx system to track sales, I would guess the last option. Except that NPLEx accepts Military IDs at every other location and state that uses it, so that can't be it. And it wouldn't be for my safety either, because after making a trip back home and bringing my passport, I was able to purchase it with out any issues. Lastly, I doubt it would have been done maliciously, and that's asinine to even suggest.
And so, only one option is left: incompetence.
As a reminder, folks, understand that becoming a manager isn't all about job proficiency. Don't put your "superiors" on a pedestal; they may have no idea what they're doing.

I switched to Walgreens in Magnolia, DE because it is very close to home after driving to Camden for years. I soon regretted it. Not all my prescriptions were being filled or filled correctly. Medication that wasn't in stock, I had to beg and beg them to get. They say they will order but when I call back after it was supposed to be in, it isn't there and they say they'll order again. My doctor ordered one medication for two pills a day but they would only give me enough for one per day saying insurance would only pay for one. I had my doctor send a prescription to Rite Aid and they filled it for all the pills my doctor ordered. Insurance, shortages and "we just can't get it in," were the usual excuses. The attitude was not one of "let me see how I can help you," but one of "it would require effort on my part to go above and beyond the minimum requirements of my job so if you suffer and die for lack of medication, it's not my problem." I was already disgruntled with this pharmacy but put up with it because of the convenience. The last straw happened recently. I don't make my own insulin and require injections to stay alive. I was trying to get my insulin refilled for three weeks when a man from the pharmacy called me. Fortunately I ordered ahead of time, but by now I was running low. He was calling about filling some unrelated pills, and I asked about insulin. I was told they can't get it in. I explained that I will be in DKA in less than a day without it, and what can they do to get it. After a lot of back and forth and emphasizing that insulin is my lifeline, he told me to go to another pharmacy. I did. The rest of my business is going as soon as I can get it transferred.
The lack of customer service is not limited to the pharmacy. I do a medical treatment at home and sometimes have to draw blood work which needs to be shipped FedEx. The Magnolia Walgreens is so close and is a FedEx drop off and holding site. According to the official FedEx website, as of April 19, 2021, Walgreens Accepts lab specimens coded UN 3373. I took my properly packaged specimens to the photo counter as directed by sign at the front register on Wednesday April 3, 2024 between 1-2 pm. When I presented the properly packaged box, the woman behind the register stated that she didn't have her "gun" out here. Her body language told me she didn't want to be bothered with my package. Before I could say anything, a young man, probably an employee but not sure, came up behind me, pointed to the code on the box and stated they can't take biologicals. I stated that I never had a problem dropping off before. He told me that they shouldn't have taken it, picked up something on the counter, shoved it in my face and said "see." He took it away before I could see anything. He told me to take it to Mail Depot in Camden. I told him after my treatment I was too weak to take that long of a trip. He held firm. The cashier then said "thank you" TO HIM. She never said a word to me, no sorry or have a nice day. Guess she was just happy she didn't have to do her job and go get the scanner. I called my nurse from the car. She had never heard of a Walgreens refusing to accept patient's specimens for FedEx drop off. On FedEx's website under shipping dangerous materials it states that Walgreens accepts packages with this code. I was already having a worse and worse opinion of this store, and a cashier who doesn't want to do her job and a young man on a power trip have sealed the deal. I hate this Walgreens!
To any contentious employees, I apologize. You are a rarity here. Even if I was wrong about the package, there are far better ways the employees could have handled the situation, and I could have felt satisfied that the store did it's best. This store needs serious training in customer service. A pharmacy is dealing with people's health and well being.

Would rate negative stars if possible. Worst pharmacy on earth! They keep bankers hours so good luck getting there to pickup your meds when they are open. Close for lunch to boot every day. And when you do get there they have either missed one of your scripts that was supposed to be ready or put them all back on the shelf because you couldn't pick them up immediately so you have to wait an hour or more anyway.A pharmacy needs evening hours!

This is my local store which I will not longer use until they fix the problem they created.I placed an order on line for Arm and Hammer items which were on sale. I I purchases 2 items of 5 different products on sale, and 3 of 3 other products on sale (19 items told). When I came to pick up my items I was told my order was changed and I was only allowed to purchased 2 Arm and Hammer items. Not 2 of each,,, only 2 of two different items (4 in total) which they chose for me. They didn't give me a chance to even pick the items, they picked what they wanted and said that is all I can get.On the website and my email receipt which showed the change of my order, all the other items removed were listed as out of stock. When I came into the store to inquire about why the change, they said, they were trying to save items for the rest of the community? I live in the community and I purchase items for the parents of the students I serve in my afterschool mentor program how can this be fair, right, or even legal.I explained I understand limits on particular items, but a limit on the brand provider itself. When I asked why was this decision made I was told the manager can make this type of decision. Then I was told, people will order under different names and pick up more than a few items. So I can lie and use multiple names and you'll hand me the same things you just said, I couldn't purchase directly??? Why is that??? I called corporate customer service and still have been given a call back as 3 different calls as if my voice or my concern doesn't matter. I've been a Walgreens customer for over 10+ years in two states and this is the worse I've been treated. I went to a different Walgreens in the neighborhood was not only allowed to purchase what I wanted, I was told they've never heard of anything like that restriction for customer. So now I want a clear answer to why I was treated like that and missed the window to sent the items with the children before the Thanksgiving break, after I told the parents I would take care of them!!! This is why I won't let this go until I get a answer which makes sense. If my money and time are not of value I want to know why this was put into place. I've asked the parents at both my programs and the teachers I partner with to not use Walgreens in their communities until I get an explanation. The total number of parents and staff assisting me in withholding their services here in DE, NYC, and MD, and PA are 115 consumers who won't shop at Walgreen until I have an explanation an offer of solution.

Avoid this pharmacy if you can. They are closed by 2pm during the week and closed on weekends. They’re almost never there. I need my meds.

This place seems to be be behind every single day. Extra long wait times. Don't expect your prescriptions to be ready at the time they say it will be ready. 99 percent of the time they never are. I can't even reach anyone at this store for the past 2 weeks now.

I keep trying to call and get either hung up on by the pharmacy or just get left on hold by the store. Not a very good way to treat customer's. I keep getting texts about my scripts but no real information about them.
