Jacquelynn Truax was the best. From her voice over the phone even in person she was very very nice and professional. I had a bad experience in the Bear location called Middletown Store and spoke with Jacquelynn. Went to the store purchased my items and now I'm happy. Thanks Jacquelynn?

Went into Ashley’s to look at Bed frames. Jacquelynn greeted us as soon as we walked in and began showing us bed frames. Though we did not find a frame, she did have us try out the a tempur-pedic mattress as part of a promotion. 2 weeks later we came back to get that mattress and a new sectional. She was very sweet and did not put any pressure on us but was very helpful in guiding us to the best options. The entire staff was great!

Horrible business practices--one issue after another. Never going back!I could write a small book about my exhausting and frustrating experience with this company, but instead I will summarize the most irritating bits (which are kind of a small book anyway).* Was excited to find a nice soft and squishy sectional sofa. Ordered and was approved for financing...then had zero communication from anyone there for FIVE WEEKS.* Side Note: The sectional came with 9 pillows, which I did not want or need and asked repeatedly for them NOT to deliver. Hard as a rock, not usable in any way and did not match my color scheme at all.* When I called for a status, I was told that the item had been discontinued and I would not be getting the one I had ordered. Seems they should have fulfilled pending orders first, no?* As a consolation, they said I could instead buy the floor model, but of course that was used so I would have to pay for cleaning myself, it was not a configuration that would fit in my space, AND I had to arrange and pay for my own delivery (which had been included in original order).* I agreed to buy the used one, so I had to return to store (Visit #2) to redo paperwork for the (used) sectional and separate (new) ottoman. My daughter and I were there for over TWO HOURS.* After checking the paperwork in more detail, I realized that somehow I was actually going to be paying MORE MONEY for this used sofa that wasn't what I had ordered. After several calls and texts with the manager, I was told they would refund "90% of the delivery price" which was $308. Fine, it was something.* The next day, their service desk blew up my phone with no less than five calls (called, hung up...called, hung up) and two voicemail messages telling me I had to come back (Visit #3) to redo the paperwork again, which I already knew from speaking with the manager. I called back to inform them I would return to the store exactly one more time: when the ottoman was ready for me to pick up. Also, that I would really appreciate if they could process all the paperwork beforehand so I wouldn't have to wait as long this time.* Later that day, my delivery guy called from the store to let me know they would be on their way to my house soon. In the background, I heard the service person say, "She will be back on Monday to pick up the ottoman and process her discount." Okay great--I was starting to feel like things were nearly resolved. Sofa was delivered, and we fit it (awkwardly) into my living room. And of course, they also brought the 9 giant pillows that I had repeatedly requested the store NOT to give me. (I was able to give them away via Facebook Marketplace, but of course that was even more of my time wasted to take photos, measure, post online, etc.)* Monday came and went with no call from the store. Instead of waiting yet another week or more for the ottoman, I decided to search for it online. Sure enough, it was right on Amazon for $150 less than the store's price and free delivery literally to my doorstep. So I emailed the store to let them know this, copying all service team members and several managers. Zero of them responded.* A few days later, I returned for I hoped would be the final time (Visit #3). Guess what? Their computers were down! Had they at least printed out the paperwork so I could sign and be on my way? Of course not. My daughter and I waited in the parking lot for about an hour and then gave up. I asked them to call me when their computers were working again.* Three days later, I finally got a call. I drove back to town for VISIT #4. They refunded me for the ottoman deposit and cancelled financing for it. But when I asked about the sofa delivery refund that had been promised by the manager, they had no record of it and I was told, "It's too late to make any changes to the financing amount." GRRRR! But at this point, I did not want to go back and forth with them yet again and just wanted to be DONE with the whole mess, so after expressing my frustration and disappointment one last time,

We went in to browse for a recliner and Debbie helped us navigate the options. We recently moved to the area and while we tried out different chairs, she helped provide us information, not only for our furniture purchase but for some cool local recommendations to check out. She helped find us the best deal on the reclining chair we ended up purchasing, and delivery was quickly set up. It was one of our most pleasant furniture purchase experiences!

I purchased what I was told was a leather sofa from Ashley furniture store in Middletown Delaware. Shortly after I received it it started peeling and a couple holes. I do have cats that's why I wanted another leather sofa I have had them in the past and they never got damaged. I called to Ashley store they told me to call the insurance people I got coverage on it with they told me they wouldn't cover it and call Ashley back. I called the Ashley store they had a manager call me and told me that was not a leather sofa and they have no way to know if the salesperson told me it was leather because they were not there. They told me they would send someone to sew new material on the sofa over the damage. I spoke to a trained upholstery person and they said it cannot be done in the home properly it would have to be taken to the shop and taking apart in order for it to be done or it won't look any better than it does now. The structure of the sofa is very nice and I would just like it reupholstered properly and they told me I have no way of getting anything more than what they offered. I paid $1,600 for this sofa thinking it was real leather. I offered to buy the leather if they put it on the sofa for me and they refused. I am stuck with this furniture with pleather on it actually pleather is probably stronger than what is on it it is paper thin. I would not advise you shopping at this Ashley furniture store or any other one anywhere they do not stand behind their furniture and neither does the insurance that you buy on the furniture they will only fix broken parts. It is not my fault the salesman told me it was real leather or I would never have bought it. They should let me buy the material and they should supply the upholsterer to put it on the sofa and they refuse. Just adding to my review. Ashley was supposed to send some material to my house for the sofa and they never sent it. When I received it I was supposed to go down to the store and pay $150 for the upholsterer to come and apply it to my sofa and I never got the material.

Every time we walk into Ashley's furniture store, the greetings we receive are always so bright and welcoming. With the one on one customer service they make you feel very special. Thank you to Jacquelynn Truax she was our personal sales representative, she took her time answered all of question. We never felt pressured to buy, she gave us all the information we needed to make the right decision for us. We are so grateful to Jacquelynn and to the staff at Ashley's Furniture Store.

Found exactly what I wanted (soft and squishy sectional) within 15 minutes. Staff friendly and helpful. Flexible payment options. Would have liked a few more color options and faster delivery, but it will be worth the wait.

The staff at Ashley Store, Middletown, DE, were amazingly polite, they all worked together to see to all my needs. Absolutely beautiful showroom… loved the furniture… My dad was a builder so I can appreciate the excellent quality of the pieces, I wish the team much success, Thellie and Caitlin thanks very much.

Jacquelyne was incredibly helpful picking out a new sectional for my mom today! She was very knowledgeable about all products and guided us around to the furniture that met our requirements. She also helped us get the best deals possible. On top of all of that, she was very personable. We had a wonderful experience today!
