Delaware state law profits a fee without service. , even in a contractual agreement it must be spelled out and verbally shared, when language gets convoluted in small print. This location never shared a no show fee. Despite calling 10plus hours ahead, they charged a card that was given under false pretense and not for the appointment to which the fee was charged. Id given the card two appointments prior, because I did not have the gift card with me the day of scheduling. However, I’d brought the gift card(s) the day of the appointment. Which means the card I provided should have been removed from the system or again explained why you would need to keep it on file. I never agreed to a card on file. Either way $65 wasn’t worth loosing a repeat customer, a bad review or the credit card fees that comes with disputed processing charges. I’ll take my business elsewhere. As this location showed no kindness, no understanding even after speaking with the owner Diane.

Appointments are very difficult to schedule and actually keep. On multiple occasions, (5 or 6) my appointment was canceled within the same day, sometimes even within 2 hours of my appointment time. What's even more frustrating is that they are unable to reschedule you until 4 to 6 weeks later. Sometimes that appointment gets canceled and the cycle continues. I canceled my monthly subscription because of this and am considering just throwing my gift card in the trash as well. I do not recommend this location.

Wish I could give zero stars. I signed up for a membership. I showed up for my 10:15 AM appointment and no one was in the building and the doors were locked. I called several times and attempted to knock on the door a few times as well. After 30 minutes of waiting around, hoping that maybe someone was just late, no response and it appears they are closed. I called the Newark location just to make sure maybe I had the wrong day, but they confirmed my appointment and told me that Middletown always has issues like this. I do not recommend going to this location or purchasing any of their services. Really disappointed.

The massage was good but the linens smelled musky or like mildew. The smell was very distracting. There was no aroma therapy happening in the room…the air was very stale. The hot towels smelled the worst. The experience was subpar.

I showed up a little early for my massage. The staff at the front desk was very polite and requested I filled out some additional releases. Shortly after arriving and filling out the information I was greeted by my masseuse Bridget whom was very professional and gave me a great 1Hour massage. The whole experience was 5 star. Thank you

I’m relatively new to DE and was looking for an esthetician to help for my newly middle aged looking skin. A friend of a friend recommended Hawa, who happens to work at Hand and Stone, Middletown. Today was my second appointment with her and I’m completely sold. Almost 0 wait time to get started, very informative, and thorough. The service never feels rushed. I haven’t been pressured to buy anything, however recommendations with multiple options have been made-for which I am grateful. I’m looking forward to continuing regularly scheduled facials with Hawa. Side note-I schedule way in advance because she is so awesome I know she will become very booked and busy!

Booked online wanted a facial and full
Massage but they had no options for both on the same day. So I decided to book a facial for my birthday, seemed fine. Then, I got a call less than an hour before my facial to cancel. Apparently, the person doing my facial had just woke up, which is unprofessional to tell a customer. Unreliable and ruined my birthday.

What a horrible business. This feedback has nothing to do with the massage therapists.
I had six or seven massages left in my account and since the account was canceled by my former employer nobody notified me that I had to use them within 3 months. Why would my paid for massages expire... Totally ridiculous. That's the old got you in the contract.
So the company I worked for paid for those massages last year and now they're just gone.
I would personally never go to hand and Stone again and I suggest you look elsewhere bunch of dirt bags.
I did call and leave a message for the manager to call me back like almost a week ago and of course no call back. Steer clear people You've been warned

The place is nice and elegant. The massage therapist has great experience in her field. I felt much pain relief after the deep tissue massage I got from her. Kudos for Beverly!!
