About Slaughter Beach
Slaughter Beach is a cute, quiet, and pleasant local spot, favored for its simplicity. It is a bay beach with beautiful white sands, calm warm waves, and crystal clear water, though the water can also appear very brown. The beach contains natural debris like rocks, sticks, stones, some shells, and occasional beach glass. There are often many deceased horseshoe crabs and mermaid purses, even in summer months. It is great for finding fishing weights and deeply buried beer cans with a metal detector. There are no stores, showers, or concession stands, and some flies are present. Overall, it is a not bad, quiet beach loved by locals who prefer to keep it uncrowded.

In May, there are so many horseshoe crabs during high tide. Creepy looking animals, I think, but definitely awesome to be able to say you saw. :)

A very peaceful reprieve from the City life for me. I enjoyed the quiet of the beach and the Bay.
