I first met Scott, Lanham, President of Accessible Home Builders in 2022 while I was back east in Delaware visiting family. As a 50 year resident of California, and a 2021 widow, I made the decision to build a home back east to be closer to family. I first discovered one of Scott’s new builds while my sister and I were looking for land. We walked through the property and I called Scott to set up an appointment. After that first meeting with Scott, I knew he would be building my home. Later that year, I gave Scott a sketch for the vision of my new home.Fast forward to 2023. My sister found a piece of land and I made an offer and closed in April. In June after multiple conversations, I had a construction agreement with Scott. It was at that point the process began for obtaining all the necessary documents and procedures before the build could start. In August, the construction began, and my foundation was laid. Scott informed me it would be 5 to 6 months before I could move into my new home. It was 5 months.Scott is a man of integrity and very high standards for his clients. Scott was extremely patient with my sister who did all the interior design work and me living 3,000 miles away with all my frequent calls with questions about the build.Many thanks to Scott for his patience and understanding while I grieved leaving my other sister Lisa and close friends in California. Many thanks also to my sister Lyndell for designing a show place, Catherine for her listening ear and for keeping my requests moving, Pedro for being such a talented supervisor and all the other workers who made my vision a reality.

We are Extremely pleased with Scott and Accessible Homebuilders. Scott and his team built our custom home from plans we selected from the Alan Mascord design firm. My husband is an extremely detailed, visual, and concise individual. We requested design elements (as shown in model photos) that were not part of the standard build. Scott was able to recreate these design elements at a fair price and did so flawlessly. Scott is very organized and makes use of an online tool which proved to be both helpful to him as the builder but also invaluable to us as the homeowners, giving a written audit trail of all conversations and agreements. We started working with Scott on planning, scheduling, and contract pricing at the height of COVID. He was one of the few builders that did Not have price escalation clauses and his contract also had stipulations for payback to buyer on schedule over run. We looked at 2 large production builders as well as another small independent contractor and none of them would guarantee pricing or schedule. Scott committed to 6 months from footer install to occupancy. He not only met this requirement but exceed it by couple of weeks. He did this while all other builders were citing supply chain issues and staffing issues.Personally and professionally, Scott and his staff were courteous, creative and a pleasure to deal with. Scott is a person of high integrity and helped us work through details of HOA requirements, approvals and lot clearing. All change orders were handled timely and at a fair price. Scott helped us through detailed selections throughout the home i.e., Kitchen, Baths, Fireplace, Outdoor living space, etc. All of this was to satisfy our desire to replicate model home pictures (on the design firm’s website) of features and materials that were not necessarily sourced locally.We are very satisfied with our decision to go with Accessible builders and Scott for our complete build of our retirement 2400 sq/ft, 3 car garage custom home. I feel Quality, Value, willingness to listen as well as attention to detail is what set Accessible home builders apart from the other large production and independent home builders in the area. We would have no reservations recommending Accessible for any work from complete custom build to re-modeling work.

My wife and I contracted Accessible Home Builders to build a screened porch on our home. They were able to start the job before the date they gave us. They did a great job, very knowledgeable and professional and most of all kept the job site very clean. We are very pleased and would recommend them to anyone who is looking to remodel or have a home built. Accessible Home Builders built a 2 story addition on our existing home. They subcontracted the foundation pouring. The whole process went smoothly and we are very happy with the new great room, dining room and extended kitchen. We are also very pleased with our 2nd floor master bath and bedroom. Accessible Home Builders designed and constructed a huge addition to our home in Bethany Beach, Delaware. They added a whole additional level onto our house, doubling the size. They also upgraded the existing floors, plumbing and electric and painted the entire house and installed all new windows and siding. They got all required permits and managed all aspects of the construction. It's essentially a brand new house and we receive so many compliments. Rodney Hearne (Project Manager) handled all the numerous challenges that come with such a huge job very professionally. I would definitely recommend them if you are considering any type of residential construction.

We are very happy with our 3 season room. There were some issues along the way, but eventually everything was cleaned up and it was complete. We are not enjoying the spring weather on the porch.

Accessible Hones just finished building our new house in Frankford. I can’t say enough about Scott. He always kept my family informed about the house and the progress and was always willing to take the time to talk with us about changes and anything else we had questions about. And the best part was that it only took 5 months from start to finish as he promised. I know I will be using Scott and Accessible Homes for all my future home renovation projects. I highly recommend Accessible Homes for all your home building and/or renovation needs.

What a great experience working with Scott from Accessible Home Builders. From start to finish the project went as planned.The work schedule was communicated to us weekly by Scott via a phone and an email.It is so hard to visualize how your project will look and we are over the top in LOVE with our sun room, kitchen cabinets, flooring, windows, and countertops.I would recommend Accessible Home Builders for your next project.Thank you again Scott.
