We had an interesting problem with a two year old Lennox dual fuel (heat pump/propane) HVAC system that also has a Aprilaire humidifier. The humidifier was inconsistently working leaving our house uncomfortably dry (low 40’s % humidity).
Repair technician Camilo was outstanding.
Camilo diagnosed the problem which required additional wiring. This was a quirk of the new Lennox system, which can switch between the heat pump and propane without always sending a signal to the humidifier.
With the additional wiring, our house now has humidity in the low 50% and is so much more comfortable.
A fixed rate cost for the repair seemed a bit high, but we are very pleased with the repair and the technicians, professionalism and great diagnostic skills.
