“In the early 90's, I packed all four little kids into the car to head for church on Easter Sunday. I ran over our family cat while backing out of the driveway, and we were all devastated. Both veterinarian brothers, Dr. Don Gooss DVM and Dr. John Gooss DVM told me to go to church and they would pick up the cat (on Easter Sunday). They did surgery on her and returned her that week. They knew i was not able to afford their services, but they did this as a gift to our family. She lived until almost all the kids graduated from high school. Im sure this is not the norm, but this was a demonstration of their love and compassion for the Lord, people in need, and animals.”
