It is well located. The store has a variety of products. They are very affordable. It is one place to consider visiting

Never any helium and the lines are always extremely long with one cashier on some days.

The store is typically clean and well-organized. However, it is often understaffed, making it difficult to find assistance, and checkout lines can be lengthy, usually requiring a wait of 7–15 minutes. Occasionally, a second register will open.
Despite this, I consider it one of the better dollar stores I've visited.

If I could give this store zero Stars I would. It is a shame that this is my neighborhood Dollar tree and unfortunately it is the only one with people of color working in it on a regular basis. It is also the only store that is continuously trashed and with long lines. The woman who works the front light skin with glasses is always either running her mouth outside or somewhere in the store or if on the register she never calls for help and the lines are to the back of the store. It is no reason for a line to be wrapping around multiple times in your store and you don't call for help. This is my third trip in a month to this location and each time I had to put my items back due to lack of time to stand in this long ridiculous line. On top of that their attitudes are not pleasant they do not greet you walking in the store and do not apologize when you have to walk out. It's all about them getting through their day. I'm not sure how the store maintains a 4.2 rating but it is definitely someone fluffing the ratings. I have witnessed at least six people walk out of the store every time. This store definitely needs to be under New Management and have all new employees hired to bring it up to the standard of the location near University of Delaware. Not to make it a race thing but it is definitely not people of color running that one and I am a person of color stating this which is really sad that it even has to be stated. DO BETTER!!!! The people of this community deserve a decent place to shop and proper treatment when spending our money at Dollar tree just like anyone else. Just because we are not located near the university does not mean that we should be subjected to horrible customer service and a trifling nasty shopping experience. I never write reviews this long or insulting but is it insulting when it is facts?! Even living in Virginia area our Dollar trees may have been a little rough but never nasty. Maybe it's because the headquarters are down there. They should really have someone from corporate look into this location and if this is some type of a franchise situation then dear corporate they are not representing you well! Shame on you for treating your customers the way you do with no care at all. There are plenty of hard workers who would love to have your position and bring this store up to par. The conditions of this store every single visit is unacceptable and I have lived here in this area for over a year and every trip to this location has been a complete disaster and it doesn't look like there's any room for improvement or change of staff! If you are going to treat your customers this way and subject us to this type of shopping you might as well close your doors and do us all a favor. Don't complain when jobs aren't available in the area or when you can't get hired because of the type of experience you provide here I'm sure people will remember your face when you go to look for your next job. So, good luck with all of the above because I will not be returning even though I'm sure with the attitudes you all carry you probably don't even care.

2 registers open 1 long line to the back of the store. Every person that went to the shorter line was RUDLY directed to the other line by the person working the register who identified themselves as the manager of the store. I won't describe the person because it would seem like I'm being rude, but it was an African American female. I happened to be next on her line and proceeded to place my things up on the register and got angry and Told not ask but told me where not to place the basket. I asked her not to talk to me like that, and she told me to go on the other line and she did not have to help me. I left my stuff right on that register and walked out. Working in customer service can be a struggle, but you can not talk to customers or treat them any kind of way. You never know who's who. It's just sad that people have to be this way. If you aren't a people person, attempt to earn in an environment where you dont have to deal with people. Also, while standing on line, another customer mentioned that the same person was rude to them a week prior, and they also had to ask them not to speak to them that way. Hopefully, this gets addressed because with a different customer, this could have ended worse, and it can be avoided.

This store is always poorly stocked, when you ask for help to find something, your ignored and left to find it yourself. When they received shipments and I was there, I asked if they could check for the item I seen in the boxes, I was told they don't have time to help, come back the next day it will be stocked then. This store has gone down hill

Has a little bit of everything here! I love going to this store because I always find what I need & more. Majority of the items are priced at $1.25, but they also have an aisle with merchandise prices at $5. I recently bought a pair of slippers for my Mom from the $5 section & they are holding up better than expected. They are the slip-on kind with soft & fuzzy insides, plus the bottoms are solid rubber so you can definitely wear them outdoors in a pinch. I have been shopping at this particular location since mid March of this year because my family & I moved across the street from Community Plaza. I've never had to return anything that I've purchased either. The employees are very kind & helpful. For instance, I went there to pick up kitty litter for my 2 boys?⬛?& the shelf was empty. So I asked one of the employees to please check in the back for it. The gentleman was back within a couple of minutes with the 1 bag of litter that I so desperately needed. (Their kitty litter comes in 5lb. bag(s) only. 2 bags usually gets my boys 5-7 days, with regular scooping, before I need to do a full litter box change.)

I am a teacher of the visually impaired who took a student on a shopping lesson. Mr. James was a very helpful associate who retrieved what my student wanted. Much more preferable to how employees at other stores treat me as a personal assistant to the visually impaired ("Why don't you go get it?"). Leon the cashier also gave clear concise directions to my student during the checkout process.

Went to get balloons, I asked if someone could assist and I was told not at the moment. I asked when would someone be available and was told there was about a 20 minute wait. It literally takes 1 minute to get balloons filled… on top of that the lady I asked was AVAILABLE. It’s sad people just don’t like to do their job.

I would highly recommend stopping here first to buy food and snacks before you hit the grocery store you will save money.
