This Barnes & Noble is the University of Delaware Student Bookstore and School Apparel store, also housing a UD creamery location. The store offers plenty of University of Delaware merchandise, clothing, and collectible items, including foam fingers, beer cozies, hats, and t-shirts for game days, though these apparel prices are often noted as ridiculous and pricey. The non-school books, calendars, and games are priced as expected, but the selection is limited due to the large amount of UD items. The store is very clean, organized, and accessible, with ramps and elevators, making it comfortable to move about. It features a nice coffee shop up front with awesome ice cream and a little cafe inside, the Udairy Creamery Cafe, which serves items like a chicken pesto grilled cheese and locally produced dairy items. The staff, who are students, are all very polite, helpful, and a delight, contributing to a friendly atmosphere. The outside seating is well landscaped with wonderful trees, and the building itself is a historic building. While it has so much to choose from, affordable items can be found with a good look. The overall vibe feels more like a locally owned bookstore than a big chain store, making it a pleasantly surprising and different visit.
