We just moved to Bear, and I asked my husband to find a new place to get the oil changed. Brandywine has a great score on Google, so he called them and gave them my info for a walk-in appointment. A week later, I brought the car in on Monday morning. Little did I know that it’s busy season at the shop (so make an appointment if you can), but they were great, and with an 8:00 a.m. drop-off, they called at 12:30 p.m. and said it was done. Definitely found a gem of a shop and will be back.

My daughter and her apartment mate recently had issues with their cars and I sent them to Brandywine based on input from a car forum. They provided great timely service at a great price and they will be our go to shop for auto repair in the future. Highly recommend anyone with a kid having car trouble at UD check them out.

As another local repair shop owner Brandywine, Certified, & JV are the only shops I will refer my customers to when I can’t schedule them in a timely fashion and they demand service now. Last month I had a regular customer with a late model Honda who was getting ready for a road trip and wanted the vehicle serviced first. I could not fit her in and recommended Brandywine. Unfortunately, they took advantage of her. She was upsold a cabin air filter and brake fluid flush and was charged $160 for the cabin filter. Retail cost of the filter is around $20 and it doesn’t even pay .25 per any published labor guide to replace. They also upsold a brake fluid flush (which she was NOT due for) and charged around $150 for that service. That would be a fair enough price had they actually performed the service. The vehicle was in my shop this week for a rear brake service because somehow they missed the rear brakes being about 2/32 and those bleeder caps and bleeders had never been and will not open. Overall I’m disappointed that a shop I’ve recommended to many of my own customers over the years took advantage of a single mom. I referred her for an oil change and she left with a $400 bill almost half of that was a service that wasn’t provided, and another $150 of that was for a $8 Berrodin cabin filter that took a tech less then 3 minutes to change.

We are grateful to have found Brandywine Auto (referred to us by one of their colleagues) after trying two other repair shops in the area. Josh has been very helpful -- as have everyone -- in maintaining our family car so that it runs smoothly. Brandywine helps us keep on budget and secure on the road.

I was referred here by a long time customer/neighbor and I was really impressed! Dan and Josh were friendly welcoming and the service was quick! I originally went for back brakes, thinking at 100k I needed them! After inspection of brakes, I did not need them! Any other service center would have just replaced them, but this place was honest! I knew I needed tires, and will be going next week for 4 tires that were ordered! Prices are reasonable! I definitely will return for all future service! Appreciate the honesty with the brakes! Come see Josh and Dan, you will be glad you did! I like the fact the mechanics are older (certified and more experienced)!

Josh and his crew are my families go to auto mechanic. Very reasonable pricing. Josh will thoroughly explain what the problem is and a solution to fix it. Oil changes are very fast. Just an all around nice family owned business.

The men who work here are the nicest people you’ll ever deal with at an auto shop. They are warm and friendly, as well as honest. I’ve been using them for only a year or so and will never take my vehicles anywhere else.

We moved to Delaware from NJ and had no idea where to begin to find a new auto maintenance / repair shop.
I read reviews on Yelp and other places and decided to give Brandywine Auto Repair a try.
They have been wonderful.
Josh explains everything clearly and tries to make the process painless. Recently, we had an odd problem with our Honda CRV, and it took some effort to figure out what had gone wrong. Josh wouldn't give up on it. He did find the problem and fixed it completely. My final charge was even below the estimate!
I really appreciate finding a business that cares about the customer and tries to make things right the first time.
Highly recommend!
