Just dropped off some items, a little bit weird to get to, but looks like a good place. Seemed clean, no smells, quiet so animals must be taken care of. Didn't see the cage area, but front office was ckean

Whenever I have something extra for pets, I always make an effort to donate to HAP. They do so much with so little!

You either get great service or none at all. Whoever they have scheduling appointments is incompetent. They cancel your appointment unexpectedly because the vet will say they're "overbooked" and now they want me to wait an entire month for antibiotics for my cats. Nobody being held on accountability and completely irresponsible.

I was offered an appointment for a well check up for my puppy this morning. Someone had canceled and I was offered the appointment by text. When I arrived, after driving for 40 minutes with a nervous barking pup, I was told I didn't have an appointment. I showed the receptionist my text, and she could see the text I received on her computer but she said the person scheduling didn't complete the appointment. I can't see how this was my fault. Even though the vet was there, they were unwilling to fit my 3lb puppy in for his check up. The girl helping me, with pup in my hand, after asking me his age to which I replied 8 was, asked me if he had been neutered.Delaware humane normally does a wonderful job but in their new location the front desk needs additional training. It probably would be wise to verify your appointment before you plan your visitIn addition, there wasn't anyone beyond the receptionist that I could speak with to discuss the mistake they had made.

I’ve gone here to surrender stray cats and for their vaccine drive-through. Both times they’ve been very helpful.[Surrendering] I had 2 abandoned cats (Sushi and Nori) in my neighborhood that the owners left when they moved out. Everyone knew they were dumped but the state of Delaware recognized feral and stray adult cats as wildlife so they can’t send someone out to pick them up. I called ahead to make sure they had space for them.Once I knew they could take them, I trapped the cats with food and a carrier. Once they got to the shelter they were evaluated, treated, and put up for adoption. They made it much easier than other rescues.[Vaccines] Our vet office couldn’t take us before my cat’s rabies vaccine expired. So we went to the drive through event. It was from 9-11 am on a Saturday. We got there at 9:20 and were seen at 10:56. So get there before 9 if you want guaranteed service! But it was only $20 and a fairly easy experience.

I took my dog to have her spade it. And they did a call me job. I guess I got what I paid for but they didn't stitch her right? Have to take her to emergency vet and Bel Air. So to fix the problem that they didn't do, right
