Great food, even better beer List. Love the beer guide chart they have- very helpful. Only issue is the parking situation, can be confusing for people unfamiliar with Newark.

HORRIBLE place to eat. Cleanliness doesn't hardly exist here! Just look at the recent food inspection violations... 13 in the last MONTH! Failure to wash hands, contamination, and failure to clean utensils. Only go here if you want food poisoning, and search up restraunts BEFORE you eat there using the delaware food inspector website. I sure wish I did ?

I returned to my "alma mater" of the University of Delaware for a visit and was told by locals that a "must" was GRAIN ON MAIN. I wasn't overly hungry but heard over and over about their OMG CRABBY PRETZEL dish. I must admit- it was OMG AMAZING! This restaurant was not stingy with the crab and it was simply delish! Service was good but they could have used more waitstaff for a weekend brunch rush!

Food was good but one person in our group ordered a coffee but was unable to get plain sugar for it. Only chemical sugar substitute was available. It made for a really awkward moment trying to ask the server for it.

Came here for a birthday brunch. The location itself is casual with a sports bar vibe.We were greeted quickly by the host and seated at a high top, there was a large table next to us with some loud kids but otherwise the table was nice.I ordered the grain Bloody Mary that had a big piece of homemade beef jerky that was delicious, two blue cheese stuffed olives, a rather large slice of Jalapeño (I’d have preferred a smaller piece or this one cut up) and a stalk of celery that didn’t seem super fresh but the bloody was delicious. For the food we had the “Bread Basket” to start. The bread came in a skillet and drizzled with honey sriracha and a side of honey butter. The bread balls were doughy but I really liked them, they reminded me pão de queijo for those of you that like Brazilian food. The honey sriracha was insanely hot though (temperature not spice) two of us went to grab a piece and burned our fingers enough to blister, probably our fault for being hungry so be careful ?.For my entree I had the captain crunch french toast, which was good but definitely not what I expected. The pieces were just a bit bigger than bite sized, didn’t seem to have much of an egg coating and were basically dusted with captain crunch with crunch berry jam to dip. It was tasty but I probably wouldn’t order this again. This would probably be a good option to share with a few people. All in all brunch was good but nothing super special. 5 stars for the good service and the quick food delivery.Parking: Large parking lot with many spacesKid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly, there were more than I would have preferred.

Sadly disappointed in food. Pork belly tacos arrived cold and tasteless after long wait! Restaurant was not busy late lunch hour! Will think twice before coming back!

Visited November 21, 2023 DinnerThis is our 2nd visit here but it was a while ago! So long we don’t remember if it was in the same year! This place my choice for birthday dinner. Not busy for after 6p midweek but it’s probably bc it’s raining and middle of the week.Anyway, this visit was definitely memorable. We had Carly as our waitress and she was EXCELLENT! Very attentive, aimed to please and did her job wonderfully. I hope I got her name right. The restaurant atmosphere is great. Because it’s around a college area, lots of young people as the wait staff and bar area. The customers are a mix with folks our age and older. You don’t feel like a fish out of water. We ordered our beverages and apps which came in a sufficient manner. We had the Bavarian pretzel and 4 types of dipping sauces: beer cheese, honey mustard, pub mustard and bourbon caramel. OMG, let’s say you will not be disappointed! I could’ve bathed in the caramel it was pure awesomeness. Light and gooey! We also go the street corn dip with taco chips. Also scrumptious! After devouring the apps, we actually ordered entrees. Yes, our eyes were bigger than our bellies!Entrees were grilled cheese on Texas toast with a side order of fries, cheesesteak sub with side order of chips and pork belly tacos with side order of taco chips. We were quite pleased with our meals. I will say, I would’ve liked more of the aioli sauce on my tacos and line on the side to squeeze over top of them. Also, some salsa for the chips.Lastly, we ordered the fried apple egg rolls with the bourbon caramel to take home. I’ll update on how these taste later!OVERALL: This will permanently be the place I have my birthday dinner from now until an apocalypse, goes out of business or I well…we won’t go there…

Sports bar with a good beer selection ... not really big ...but they were able to accommodate table of 8 okay. Food was good...a little disappointed in a Fall special I ordered ... but it was okay. Prices are what you expect... service was ok...but they were busy. If you have gone to Klondike Kate's...you should give this place a try .... Not as cramped. Would give another shot .... maybe not right after a Blue Hens game ???Parking: They have parking lot in back...but not as much as you would need on a busy night .... but it is there & free !!

Unique place, not overly crowded. Good food with local specialties and advice average pub food. Caters to families in what is otherwise mostly a college town.Really interesting beer menu with two axis comparator chart.Parking: Parking lot around the side in the back may eventually fill up its crowded.Kid-friendliness: This is a family-friendly atmosphere at there were kids present (and dressed for Halloween! ?)when we were there.

Grain Craft Bar + Kitchen is a great spot for a casual meal and drinks in Newark, Delaware. The food is always delicious and well-prepared, and the service is friendly and attentive. I've been here several times, and I've never been disappointed. The menu features a variety of American comfort food dishes, with a focus on seasonal ingredients. I highly recommend the crab toast, which is made with fresh crab meat, avocado, and aioli on top of a toasted slice of bread. The burgers are also excellent, and the fries are some of the best I've ever had.Grain Craft Bar + Kitchen has a great selection of craft beers on tap, as well as a full bar. I'm not a huge beer drinker, but I always find something I like on the menu. The cocktails are also very good, and the bartenders are knowledgeable and happy to make recommendations.Overall, Grain Craft Bar + Kitchen is a great place to go for a casual meal and drinks in Newark. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. I highly recommend it!**Four stars out of five**
