Newark Senior Center (NSC), established in 1967, has a long history of supporting older adults in the Greater Newark Area. The center offers a variety of services and activities, including a therapeutic pool, a supervised fitness center, and exercise classes led by qualified instructors. Participants can enjoy a low-cost nutritious lunch program and numerous enrichment activities. The Meals on Wheels program delivers hot meals and companionship to homebound clients, while bus transportation helps prevent isolation among the frail elderly. Visitors have noted the center's cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff, describing it as a lovely place with great lighting and wonderful volunteers. The center hosts various events, such as bingo nights and workshops, which are well-organized and enjoyable. Although some meals may be modest, the overall experience is positive, with many recommending the center for its structure and interactive activities. The monthly bulletin highlights numerous classes and groups, making it a valuable resource for seniors looking to engage socially and recreationally.
Went here for the unveiling of a time capsule from 1974. It was a really nice place and I enjoyed myself at the program. Got lots of nice snacks and drinks too.

This place was amazing, very structured I enjoyed the assigned seating for the seniors, the hour by hour interactive activities, chair exercises. The hot meal was rather sparse. Clean, great lighting awesome volunteers. I highly recommend this for seniors!
