The NSC, founded in 1967, has a more than 50 year history of serving older adults in the Greater Newark Area. People come to the Center for a wide variety of reasons including: a therapeutic pool, a supervised fitness center, exercise classes taught by qualified instructors, a low-cost nutritious lunch program, and countless enrichment activities. The Meals on Wheels program brings homebound clients a hot noontime meal, as well as a warm smile and daily check-in. Bus transportation is available to the most frail, preventing these individuals from becoming homebound and isolated. The Meeting of Minds program provides a guided group experience for those in early stages of memory loss as well as respite for their caregivers.
Went here for the unveiling of a time capsule from 1974. It was a really nice place and I enjoyed myself at the program. Got lots of nice snacks and drinks too.

This place was amazing, very structured I enjoyed the assigned seating for the seniors, the hour by hour interactive activities, chair exercises. The hot meal was rather sparse. Clean, great lighting awesome volunteers. I highly recommend this for seniors!
