I am a contractor and I travel away from my house and I am always with my son, I look for care near the place I am working, I called here and the lady had a super bad attitude and she did not let me speak just a no no no no for her answer. Customer service for my horrible, I don’t want to imagine how children are treated.

This daycare is WONDERFUL!! I recommend to anyone looking- My daughter has been here for about a year and some. I have never had ANY issues not even one. My daughter always has nothing but good things to say when I pick her up. The staff is SUPER AMAZING...my daughter makes it a point to say goodbye to almost half the staff as she leaves for the day =] with that being said this is my daughters second family and I couldn't be more happy!!!!

I have worked for One Step Ahead Childcare & Preschool for 5 years now. It is hands down the best childcare center I have worked for. The families, children, and the current staff are amazing! From time to time we do get concerns from families and staff, but they are handled immediately. In order for the center to run smoothly, we rely on staff to come to work everyday. When staff are late, absent, or decide to take a day off without notifying anyone, the rest of the staff really step up! Classrooms are ALWAYS in ratio, curriculum is followed, children are learning, and having fun! The owner Dawn Sheehan works with not only the families but also with the staff. She gives applicants second chances even though they do a no show or no call for their initial interview as she wants to give people second chances. With any childcare center, tuition is due (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). A previous center I worked for would suspend care within 2 days of the tuition not being paid for the week. However, Dawn tries her best to work with families on an individual basis when it comes to their account before having to add late fees or suspend care. Rates are low and we are not POC plus. This is because the owner, Ms. Dawn, wants all families from many demographics to be able to have their child in a wonderful childcare center. This center is a four star center and many centers with that status do not even accept POC ( STATE subsidizedcare). Staff members are rewarded with merit bonuses through out the year as well as at Christmas time. Even if a staff member has only been with the company for a short period of time before Christmas bonuses are dispersed, she still gives these staff members some type of Christmas Bonus out of the goodness of her heart. Can we please every family member or staff member? No, but we do our best and will continue to do so while following our policies and procedures for families and staff.

They are money hungry they dont work with families tht get paid biweekly and cant get poc. They want to slap late fees on. We made our payments every 2 weeks and because ahes money hungry suspended my child because she couldn't get her payment every week. And she doesn't work with anyone. I paid just so my son can go to daycare and play he didnt learn anything. His teacher waa amazing though she had such a sincer heart i hope she can find an establishment tht will take great care of her. Or start her own business. I pray they prosper or she goes back to business management school to learn how to run an establishment!

I am in the market for a daycare for my child and this was one of many that I called. Upon answering the phone I asked the woman if they had any room available for a 4 year old and before she answered she asked if she was fully potty trained. I told her almost as she does occasionally have accidents. She immediately told me they do have room but only accept children who are fully potty trained at that age and then hung up on me. I think I dodged a bullet

I couldn't disagree more. I've had my son at the center now for 3 years. The staff are more than qualified to do their job, and have always taken care of any questions or concerns that I've had. If contacted, there is a good reason for it, and I've been very grateful for the job they've done over the years.

My experience has NOT been a good one. The owner, Dawn, is unfortunately not at the center often enough to see how unprofessional certain individuals are.....such as her director, Shariese, as well as another employee, Holly. These 2 young ladies are very immature. The focus of the center should be on the "well-being" of the children....to teach our children, keep them safe & keep the parents mind "at ease" but instead, the center has employed these 2 individuals who are extremely rude, caddy gossipers who's behavior is a NEGATIVE REFLECTION on the center. The center does not demonstrate TEAM WORK & quite frankly, I do not feel comfortable leaving my child in the care of someone who is not "focused" on their job! Dawn, I think it's time to re-assess your staff. Your director, Shariese, from what I understand, is "in charge" during your absence. Im sorry to say....she is NOT a professional. She does not display authority in a POSITIVE manner & is NOT there for YOUR staff. Unfortunately, i do not see the continued success of "One Step Ahead" until this matter has been addressed & resolved. Until that time, I will not be referring any children to your center.
