We purchased our home a year and a half ago through PCM. Shortly after, I landed a job as a real estate paralegal and of course understood the home buying process in a MUCH clearer light, which leads me to issues that I wish I caught at the time of purchase and went with my gut on. As first time home buyers, we really didn’t understand much at the time and went with what we were told. Upon first meeting with the lender, we were told “you’re not going to find a house worth buying under $X dollars,” which was already a turn off. We did find a beautiful house way under said dollar amount. Additionally, the process was very confusing and I don’t feel as though the paperwork was explained thoroughly, especially knowing we were first time home buyers. Now that I understand what we did back then, I realized that the interest rate we initially were given (2-3 months prior to closing on our home) was never locked in and in that time between then and closing, our rate went up almost an entire 1%. I realize now how much a 1% difference would make in the long run and am very upset that our initial rate was never locked.. and that we never were even given the lock option like other lenders offer. At the time, my realtor even asked why in the world the rate was never locked. I wish I could say different, but the experience truly felt salesman like and not what was in our best interest. We will be selling our current starter home in the next couple years and will not use PCM again. I even recently reached out to our lender who sent an automated email saying he was going to reach out soon for a 1 year follow up (back in April)… and raised the issues I’m posting about, and never received a response. I’m not sure if it’s PCM that does not offer rate locks or if it came done to our lender not doing it, but either way we are not happy about it. Lesson learned- do your own research and be sure you’re understanding every piece of paperwork!

Read the reviews. The negative reviews all report the exact same problems. I dealt with them a couple of years ago and got tired of not hearing back from them after beginning the process to refi that I went elsewhere. They pulled my credit which caused a major hit to my score. And I can prove that. Thanks, Pike Creek. And how pathetic that you are just posting responses to reviews that are several years old. That speaks for itself.

I had a similar experience last Fall with Pike Creek. My refi situation was unique and had some specific nuances to my income. I allowed PC to have full access to documents and submitted anything they asked for in a timely manner. Long story short.....I began to first not get a call back to my questions and only did when I reached out to one of the Managers did I finally get a call back. Then began to get contradictory answers to my questions. Went to another lender. Provided them the exact same documents I provided PC. We close on Saturday and they took only 4 weeks from start to finish. Thanks PC. I have a major hit on my credit report by you and nothing to show for it plus the time wasted running around in circles.

Working with Ben has been an amazing experience! He just saved one of my clients $10k at closing by switching to him. His communication skills are impeccable. He knows all the ins and outs of the business. I would highly recommend to use him as your lender!

I went into talking to Pike Creek Mortgages, knowing very little about buying a home, and Pike Creek Mortgage helped me and explained to me everything I needed to know every step of the way. I am already recommending the team there for my friends, family, and coworkers that are interested in buying a home. I had an amazing time working with Ben and Dan, and Matt, and will continue to recommend them to everyone and anyone I know. Thank you so much for your help!

Mark and his team were excellent throughout the entire mortgage process. I started my home buying process with another mortgage lender, but Mark was able to provide me the best loan product based on my financial situation, beating several other lenders I had been working with. A+ experience!!

Excellent experience from start to finish. I cannot thank Mark Coffman and Stephanie Cunningham enough for their patience, knowledge, support, and the service they provided to my client in her recent purchase. Pleasure to work with from the pre-approval stage all the way to settlement. Thank you, again.

Mark at Pike Creek Mortgage Services helped us buy our first home, and we can’t recommend him highly enough. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly, professional and knowledgeable, and endlessly patient with our unending questions. We’ll definitely be back when it’s time to refinance.

Pike Creek Mortgage provided exceptional services. From initial call to closing table, they were there for me to answer every question with patience and clarity. I worked with Jamie H. and he was always available when I needed him. He also provided me with direction for resources for my needs (real estate agent, homeowner insurance resources, etc.). His resources (the ones that I used) were just as great as he was! Timely, consistent, helpful, and always cordial! Thanks for a great experience!

I probably will not use this company again. After providing documents and signing my loan, I was forced to refinance my loan at their behest. I could not decline this and wonder how it will impact my credit in the coming months. Essentially, they did not properly calculate my down payment based on my eligibility. I had to refinance my home within 30 days of signing the original loan agreement and moving in, I had to resend in all my documentation that they should have had on file already. They promised to lock my rate and that I wouldn't have to come up with any additional funds for the refinance. As the day approached to resign, they told me I did need to come to the signing with a large sum for interest. Poor communication and bad experience all around. A month after the refinance, I am dreading getting another call from them that something else went wrong. They did pay the difference for the downpayment they incorrectly calculated but just a bad experience overall.
