I’m fairly new to Delaware and was looking for a hair stylist in my new neighborhood. Luckily an acquaintance suggested Kitten at the Pink Salon.I called her in June of 2025 and told her of my styling needs and within days , I was sitting in her chair. My first impression of Kitten was that she was very kind and personable ! The shop is beautiful, clean and filled with the most amazing art work and plants. The salon’s ambiance is simply serene ! The staff and stylist are also always very friendly and welcoming . Kitten is a phenomenal stylist
who curls and styles hair like a dream . Her attention to detail is impeccable and her work ethic impressive.
I like that she works quickly and always has time to answer my calls and squeeze me in when I need her services.
I am certain that I have found my forever stylist in my new city ! Hats off to Pink Salon for their exceptional service !

Made an appointment at 9:30 for a wash and press….got washed at 9:50 and didn’t get in the seat to get styled until 12:00PM. I was ready to walk out several times because I had a busy day and other stuff to do. Many people waiting also told me they had been waiting long. I also asked for a side part and Kitten must have forgot and gave me a middle part and I just didn’t have time to repeat it was incorrect because I was already late. Unfortunately I won’t be coming back because the entire point of making an appointment for a specific time is that I need the service done at that time to continue with my day

The pink salon is honestly amazing! The atmosphere is so welcoming. The service is amazing, everyone here is amazing and they take great care of you and your hair. Pink salon thank you so much for taking such good care of me ☺️💞

Honestly I can’t say enough about this salon. I’ve been coming here for the past 5 years and not once I was disappointed. Everyone is sweet, friendly and professional. Even the customers that walk in, in front of me, they all have positive attitude and friendly.
I read a review where the customer is stating they don’t offer food or drink. I mean it’s not their job to do that but I would like to add my own experience. I was once so thirsty, I shared that I could not wait to leave so I could get something to eat and drink. They immediately gave me a cup of water and asked if I wanted more. They did it with a smile as always.
Another customer mentioned that she went and no one was there. I would like to add my own experience about that as well. When I first started going there, I don’t remember exactly why they weren’t open on a Sunday. I asked if I could make an appointment on Sunday before I knew they were closed that day. Nyki gave me an appointment that Sunday. THEY WERE THERE EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE CLOSED!
Making an appointment is a lot better than walking in anywhere you go so if you walk in you should expect to be there longer than usual and be thankful that they agreed to see you.
I hated seeing all the negative reviews. Some people may think I’m friends with them there. Well we don’t talk outside the salon but I like them a lot because they’re good people. Also, I highly recommend Nyk, she is the best!!!!!!

-My first appointment went great!
-My second appointment not so great. My original stylist was injured the day before and didn't come into the salon until later that day. Having a heads up would've been great. Although the lady who did my hair was very nice, my sew-in was not properly done, meaning you could see the tracks. In addition, my closure was not done properly.
-Third appointment the stylist/owner was a no show the day before I had a video shoot. 🤦🏽♀️ I called and waited. Courtesy and valuing a clients time is paramount when running business. This was my experience/opinion. I hope it helps others.
12/18 - received a call from a young man who I've tipped before. He states can I schedule your appointment. I explained to him what happened. He apologizes then hangs up. He then calls me right back and state were you late because someone was here at 5pm. (BS) Sorry I try to remain professional but the lack of ownership and blaming a customer is unprofessional. I stated I knocked on the door before 5pm; at 5pm and after 5pm. He fusses with me telling me I'm wrong someone was here. Again (BS) please do not patronize a business who lacks respect for professional clientele and lacks accountability. I don't show up late because I value mine and others time. Trust me what you do to others has a way to roll back around. Be courteous and most of all be professional. I attached call records. I called the shop at 4:48pm. If someone was there why didn't they answer? Rhetorical. Check Yelp reviews too before booking.

Pink salon has been my hair salon for over 15 years. The owner Kitten, is kind, compassionate, and a dedicated business owner and hair stylist. She and her team are professional, and together they operate a successful hair salon.

Don’t recommend going to them. I set up an appointment once for a wig installment and when came time for my appointment the girl (I forgot her name) went on vacation??? She didn’t tell anyone that she had booked me and that’s ridiculous. Don’t schedule and appointment if you know you’re leaving. No one else in the mall knew how to do wig installs so I just left. The lady never called me back when she came back for a reschedule so it’s clear they don’t care about their clients.

I was a walk-in but asked if they could fit me in and was told yes. The music was way to loud you had to yell in order to be heard or speak to someone, its a salon not a nightclub, everyone dont want to hear all that noise and all the chatter thats already in the shop so turn it down. I waited 30 minutes to get a wash and he was so rough on my head and i got soaked with water during the process. Also water got in both ears (which could lead to an ear infection) my shirt was totally soaked in the back where he was so messy with the water, he took the blowdryer to try to dry my shirt but that didnt work because i was soaked. So after the wash and color I sat for 2 more hours for the stylist to come get me and no one ever came, no one came and offered me a glass of water, bathroom break, soda, nothing and I was thirsty and hungry. I got there at 12:30 finally at 3:15 I said I have to leave I've waited long enough and the stylist said are you sure it will just be a few more minutes and I said I'm sure, I'm tired of waiting and I'm hungry so she seemed to be upset and rang me out at $110 for a color and wash! And she didn't bother to apologize for even thank me for coming so I will never go back there and I will never refer anyone to go there. I hope they do better in the future and treat their customers better, we pay a lot of money for these services and we should get better. Very disappointed in Pink Salon. In the response to my review, whoever responded said the stylist apologized and that is an outright lie, never once did she apologized. Also I did not go in there with an attitude, why would I, this was my first time going there and I was happy to be there to get my hair done, never would I have went into a business when I need their service with an attitude, that doesn't make sense so I don't know where they got that from. And No, it's not the salons responsibility to feed their customers and I didn't need them to feed me or take me to the restroom, I have a mouth and I know how to use it but I have also been to salons that at least offer you water or something to drink when you're paying an arm and a leg for a service. The way they responded in their reply was totally unprofessional and they don't have to EVER worry about me Crossing their door again, EVER.

Went in to find out about services. Was introduced to a braider. She was doing someone's hair for the prom so didn't want to talk while rendering services. She gave me her card and said she would call me when finished. Called the next day because she forgot to call me the day before. Told me what services I would receive and told me she could do my hair the following weekend. Assured me I would receive exceptional service. I sent her the style I wanted and and she told me she could do the style. I go to get my hair done and she didn't know I was coming because I didn't "confirm" the appointment, I just texted ok. Even though we talked and she told me to come around 9:00. I "confirmed" the appointment when I said see you at 9:00 next Saturday. When leaving this review you're asked what service did you get. NONE!

I get my hair braiding a lot it helps it grow I moved to DE and found this place .. I didn’t know they wash hair for braids to that’s nice but the lady doing it didnt smile looked at my a lil funny then the actual Braider left for 30 mins then came back .. she sneezed on my head didn’t even turn or nothing eww .. wanted to know a bit about DE and just sounded like she didn’t like people that not from here .. all fine tho at this point frfr .. the real bother that kept me from going back was the hair was CHEAP and itchy ( I can bring my own fr) then girl I looke in the mirror at home man these where 8 straight back cornrows and I look at the back cuz I’m BIG ON PARTING as I do braids too.. the PART WAS NOTICEABLY CROOKED! so she saw that and kept going I TOOK THEM RIGHT OUT! and as I was doing that the way she feed the hair in OMG amateur or a hater idk why I was nice and she would have had a monthly client. Moral of the story when someone sits in your chair don’t assume they don’t know hair! I was laughing so hard when I was taking them out .. I can do better than that myself . The price I don’t remember it ain’t about money I pay for a slay okay and this was not it for me but good luck for y’all maybe they will be nicer to you idk but if her idea was to mess up so I would come back .. You nailed it girl cuz.no.. and I ain’t saying no names I’m just dry snitching not a stool pigeon get yo money boo just not mine.

Beautiful salon! Amazing stylists and staff! Nyki works fast, is skilled at what she does and only surrounds herself with other talented stylists. You are in great hands here! The salon specializes in all styles, natural, weaves, braids, locs, etc!!
