I recently purchased a Nissan Sentra from Nissan of Newark, Delaware, and I can confidently say that it was the smoothest car-buying experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked through the door, I felt welcomed, respected, and genuinely cared for as a customer—not just as another sale.
I want to give a huge shoutout to my favorite salesman, Dante. From start to finish, he was patient, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. He listened to what I needed, asked the right questions, and never pressured me or tried to upsell anything I didn’t want. Dante explained every step clearly, walked me through all of my options, and made sure I was 100% comfortable with each decision. He took the time to answer all my questions—no rush, no stress—and went above and beyond to make sure I was getting exactly what I was looking for. His professionalism and friendly personality made the process feel easy and enjoyable.
I also want to thank Andrew, the manager, who truly deserves credit for making my deal happen. When I say he “pulled seven strings,” I mean it. I had a specific budget and a few challenges that could have made this purchase difficult, but Andrew worked magic behind the scenes to get me into the car I wanted. He was transparent, respectful, and genuinely determined to make a deal that worked for me. You don’t see that kind of dedication and honesty at many dealerships.
Between Dante’s incredible customer service and Andrew’s determination, everything was smooth, stress-free, and even exciting. I left feeling not only confident in my purchase, but grateful. I’m absolutely loving my Nissan Sentra, and I’ll be recommending Nissan of Newark to anyone who needs a vehicle. If you’re looking for the perfect team to help you, ask for Dante—and know that Andrew is the guy who makes things happen.
This was the perfect buying experience.

I had an amazing experience for a certified pre owned vehicle at Hertrich Nissan. I was fortunate to have met sales associate Lillia Decos. She was very friendly, personable and most importantly she listened to my needs and answered all of my questions. Conversation flowed easily. I did purchase an SUV. The purchasing process was smooth and painless. I definitely would see Lillia again when I am in the market for another vehicle. I recommend her 100%.

Just got here for an 1145am appointment and andrea at the services desk said they don’t take appointments past 11. Firstly why would you schedule me for an appointment past 11 when you claim you don’t take cars past 11? I told Andrea I have proof of an appointment. She got all in my face and gave me the rudest and most nastiest attitude and then just ran off and another guy came to attend to me. Is this how you all treat your customers? Being rude and nasty with them? I was never once rude to her.. some of your employees have no customer service experience and it bloody shows. Will not be back again

I recently had a very disappointing experience with the service department I was traveling an 2 hour away from home when I got a flat tire. When I arrived at the dealership location, I was informed that it would cost $380 to replace one tire on my car, which I had just purchased in August.
i was willing to pay for the repair, but they told me the tire wasn't in stock and I would have to wait a day for it to be fixed. Being far from home, I inquired about a rental car, but was told they didn't offer rentals at the time due to having only one car to rent . I was offered a shuttle, now tell his am I going to pick my car up if I life hours away ? but was to I would have to take a ride-sharing service that I would have paid for out my pocket plus the cost for the tire . This was particularly inconvenient as I had all my luggage with me. Overall, the customer service at this location was severely lacking.

purchased a 2016 silverado for my son's 1st vehicle, after they assured me the transmission was solid w/ no issues . immediately after sale, before we left the lot, the check engine light came on and has been on ever since due to clogged fuel injectors.....they claim to have cleaned them but the light reappeared 2 weeks later- same issue which now have to be replaced...
A cost we cant afford as we just had to completely REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION BEFORE WE MADE OUR 3RD PAYMENT....
they must have been aware as they only offered a 30 day warranty yet claim customer satisfaction is their top priority....thats BS.
STAFF IS DISCOURTEOUS, UNHELPFUL AND FALSE, LYING ABOUT THE CONDITION TO MAKE A SALE.
MONEY SPENT HERE IS MONEY WASTED
THERE SEEMS TO BE A PATTERN OF DECEPTION AS THIS COMPANY ISNT EVEN LISTED WITH THE BBB........ FRAUD, SCAMMERS, THIEVES

Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love the vehicle I purchased! But unfortunately that’s where the pleasant experience on this particular dealership ends!
I Purchased a used GMC Sierra and 2 - 3 weeks later the check engine light comes on for a transmission code. I have the 30 day (as well as the 36 month extended) warranty from them so I call. Told me that they can’t work on GMCs and I would have to take it to one of their GMC dealers….the closest to me being over 2 hours one way from my house! First time this was told to me through the entire purchase process! So, after multiple phone calls, finally get the appointment made. This took me 3 days to do and barely made it in time to be covered by the 30 days. Once it’s made, and after some math on my part, I call the dealership I have to go to in Maryland back to let them know that driving the 2 plus hours to get there would put me over the 1000 miles allowed by the 30 day warranty. I explained..again…that I have tried to go closer only to be told I couldn’t. Their response…”over the miles is over the miles no matter the reason”. At this point I call the extended warranty company to utilize it at a Chevy dealership 5 miles from my house.
The warranty company tells me that the dealership I bought it from has to “release” my contract and let them know so the repair shop/dealership can be added. Ok….so I call the Newark dealership back and, as instructed by the warranty company to do, ask for a service manager. Placed on hold only to have the young lady come back and tell me the manager is busy and she would have them call me. I empathized that it was important that I speak to them today. This was about 1 pm. No call back, no anything.
So, Basically, they can force me to take my truck over 2 hours to utilize the warranty if they choose, yet again, this was never explained to me at purchase. I even have a “we owe you” slip where they had to fix what we thought was a turn signal bulb. Nothing was said at that visit the very day after I bought it!!
Next step I suppose is to contact their auto group headquarters in Seaford, DE to try to get some help.
I realize things happen….but I had this vehicle less than 20 days before a significant transmission problem occurs?? I had the code scanner ran in it and it needs a new wiring harness and control body for the transmission! That pricy of a repair just popped up that the dealership seems unwilling to correct? In no way could or would I recommend this place to any friend or family! Pathetic customer service!
And the real kicker….this truck that passed Selaware inspection a couple of days before I bought it (at least according to the sale person) will NOT take ass. The PA inspection with a check engine light on. So if I can’t get help to get this taken care of by the time my PA tags come in, the truck will have to be parked!!
If anyone from in the service manager position in this auto group reads this….PLEASE CALL ME AND DONT JUST RESPOND HERE! That won’t help the situation!!

BE CAREFUL When buying a Certified Used Car.
I am writing to express my deep concern & dissatisfaction regarding the certified pre-owned 2023 Nissan Rogue I purchased from this dealership approximately 5 mths ago. Since the purchase, I have encountered a series of significant issues that raise serious doubts about the quality & reliability of this vehicle—especially considering its certified status.
Within just 4 days of purchase, the vehicle req a full A/C system replacement. Less than 8 weeks later, the brakes also had to be replaced. I have now been informed that the car needs new tires & an engine flush.
Throughout this period, the vehicle has been brought into the dealership for service 4 times in 5 mths. Despite these visits, I continue to experience major problems, including:
Repeated stalling while driving, which forces me to pull over, place the car in park, and restart it in order to proceed. This is a serious safety concern.
The infotainment screen intermittently goes blank while driving, only to return later.
As a customer who purchased a certified used vehicle with the understanding that it had passed thorough inspections and met a higher standard of quality, this situation is completely unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed not only with the condition of the car but also with the dismissive responses I have received regarding safety and functionality concerns.

I had a wonderful experience working with salesperson, Liliia Decos, and sales manager, Rob Syva at Hertrich Nissan of Newark. They were professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about helping me find the perfect car. They made the entire process smooth and easy. They went above and beyond to answer all my questions. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a stress-free car buying experience.

I bought a car from here one year ago. My car was rear-ended and totaled. I looked at my contract and I saw they added a service contract without my knowledge ($3000) this was 10048485% my fault for not fully reading the contract. Fast forward. My bank called and I called for the refund of the contract that I'm not using. Emails of the letter of the total loss was given. I've been waiting for this refund for 2 weeks. I call to follow up. and they don't even have the refund information. The man Ken who wont return my phone calls, and when I did speak to him he told me that he issued the refund . Sooo. Guess who has to wait another week or so. For them to give me my money back.. if you buy from here BEWARE.

I just called over the phone to ask about availability and price on oil changes for my dad's car, and I encountered this lady. I believe her name is Cindy, or that's what I heard. She not only was very combative but also she talked to my dad in a way that basically she was "either you want this service or not this is the price and I'm telling you this to cover my back because I don't want nobody in my job to yell at me because of the price provided"
Her lack of customer service and patience towards my dad and I is the result of us not coming back there. I'll make sure none of my friends or family encounter this place to get service. Horrible customer service there is ways to say things. And this lady chose the most rude way.

Won't come here again, just found out they snuck a $3000 warranty onto my contract some how, when the vehicle still had 3 years and 60,000 miles left on the factory bumper to bumper. I told them I did not want a dealership warranty from a company that can't even work on my car, and I told them I was aware there was still a factory warranty and didn't need one anyway... watch these sleeze balls.... It was a VW.

Would Highly Recommend. Had a great experience with their service department. My service advisor Daniel was great to deal with!
