Self service registers are very unorganized. Lines for waiting are vague and unmarked. The employees at the section do a poor job of maintaining order. Customers line up in the grocery aisle to wait instead of near the registers. There is enough room to create a Walmart style lane to prevent confusion and ensure a visible entrance to the registers.

Safeway has a great loyalty program with much savings! I highly recommend you get it and use an online account and app to optimize savings!

I used to give this store 5 stars. After what my brother experienced today it is now 1 star. He was racially profiled and wrongfully accused. After being proven wrong all they gave was "well sorry you looked like the guy earlier today" and "there has been a lot of people stealing lately." It was an embarrassing situation for him and he came home so upset. We will never be going back.

I normally don't shop at Safeway, due to location, but stopped in to pick up a few item to take to work. They had the clerical items I needed and I picked up lunch as well. Im kinda disappointed with the chicken from the ready to eat section as it was too dry for my liking. Other than that store is well stocked and very clean.

I enjoyed my experience at Safeway. I actually went there for a gallon of water but ended up purchasing Yogi tea as it was on sale and other fresh produce. The membership process was seamless and I was able to access a discount immediately.

I have been visiting this store for many years. I have had pleasant experience so far except for today at the self checkout counter. I waited right at the board that says line forms here and then when a lane opened up I went down to it. The attendant at the self checkout came screaming and yelling that there was another lady infront of me(I was right where the line started and did not see her to the side). I was taken aback for a second as I did not realize what was happening and just see a women yelling and screaming coming at me. When I grasped the situation I took a step back to allow the other person and then turned to the employee to say she need not yell at me and could have told me in a normal way for that she had I don't care attitude. I had a nice chat with the manager who said this is not the first incident with her behavior and would have a talk with her. This has been my store for years and never had this kind of racism happen to me until today hope this behavior changes. Location: Safeway at people's plaza

If there was less than one star I would use it. My husband and I are handicapped and sometimes we can't grocery shop in person. We like the staff and prices are good, we have shopped there for years. we have used pick up service in the pblackast but we used the service a few days before Halloween. Our pick up window about to close, no notification to pick up, so we called the store, no answer. Drove to the store, nowhere near completed, waited in parking lot 1.5 hours. Okay, everyone has a bad day.So I thought I would try delivery service. We had appointments early in the day, so picked 4pm - 8pm so as not to miss delivery. At 8:30pm checked the site, nothing. Inquired about the order through online chat. They put a ticket in to driver for them to make contact. A miracle! A car blip on the map heading to store & then off to my house. ETA 10:14 pm, all lights on, opened door, stood on front porch. Got a message 10:18pm groceries delivered & a black picture with lights(?) in the distance. I'm still on the porch. At 10:49pm back to the online chat. They said it showed delivered. So the chat suggested I check with neighbors, basically me handicapped should go door to door at night in the rain. My only recourse is to cancel the order, in which case they would refund my money in 5-7 days. I asked that they have the manager call me, store closed at this point. Next day 3pm still waiting. Chat said they sent a message to corporate management team. My credit card company states that I have to wait until the pending charges are posted in order to dispute. Charges for the groceries & miscellaneous charges which total $ 407.00 includes a $21 tip. Merry Christmas someone!

Would give negative 10 stars for ignorance of this store! I just had to grab one item tiday and they had the doors locked at 3:40 pm ! We asked for a manager a she said it's our policy to close way before closing time! Assholes!!! I hate this store!! And this has happened to me before where they close way before closing time!

Bought some neck for stew and it was full of fat pieces which should have been disguised into the packet. This put me off so much there is no way I am likely to go back here for lamb . It not honest practice as the picture shows . This was from one small packet total weight about 2 lbs and I lost half of it to this packed fat . Very bad .

I love to come to this place because I can also grab my cup of coffee in Starbucks, which is located inside the store, and also grab some groceries.
