Used to get my eyebrows threaded there all the time, but now it’s appointment based. I loved how they did my brows so perfectly, but I don’t want to make an appointment for eyebrows. Wish they’d go back to how it used to be. However, I did find a new eyebrow spot called Rita’s and it was clutch that the girl there used to work at Sapphire and recognized me! ❤️

I’ve had such a great experience at Sapphire Beauty Studio! The atmosphere is clean, welcoming, and the staff is professional and friendly. You can tell they really care about their clients and take pride in their work. I’ve gotten my hair done here multiple times and always leave feeling confident and satisfied. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality beauty services in Delaware!

It was a great experience! My braider was polite and professional. Could barely feel her hand on my scalp as someone with a sensitive scalp. Owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. Solid 10/10 experience.

I booked a service for 6/28 @10am. I get an email changing the time to 2pm. I cancelled because the change of time did not work for my schedule. They changed the time and charged me a cancellation fee. Someone was supposed to get back to me. It didn’t take days to pull the money from my account so I will not wait days to get my money back. If I don’t receive my money in the next 24 hours I will file a complaint with the Delaware Department of State. Don’t worry, I will not be booking a service ever again.

Prior to me booking my appointment, I went into the salon and spoke with Cynthia and showed her the styles that i wanted my style similar to- boho curls over my locs. She gave me the total price of $255 not including the hair packs and boho curls i needed to buy separately for my style. I stayed in communication with her by text, secured the booking, and even communicated with her on the hair she wanted to use when i went to the beauty supply store to buy the hair. So the hair i could get from the beauty supply store was longer, so i asked her if she could work with that and use less hair or cut it shorter because i wanted it shorter to my bra strap and not my butt, as i was about to have a baby shortly after my hair was done, and didn’t want to have long hair while caring for a newborn. She understood this, and also understood i was getting my hair done for a friend’s event and a photo shoot organized by friends 2 days later. So got my hair done on Saturday with Cynthia, she was nice- great personality, it appears. She did the boho curls with 2 of 3 hair packs and 2 packs of the boho curls; she recommended that i keep the length of the hair go go to the event and shoot, and come back after to get it cut to the length i wanted. It should be noted, the hair wasn’t trimmed to look neater or anything, but i didn’t say anything about this because i didn’t want to offend anyone. Additionally, when i was about to send her the money we agreed on prior to the booking, she told me the price was $305. I explained it was not what we had discussed as i showed her the notes i had from our first meeting. She stated it was a miscommunication and agreed to honor the price. I paid her $300 by zelle, including tip. On Wednesday, i reached out to her to ask if i could come in to get the hair cut to the length i originally wanted, we arranged a time on Thursday evening. She stated it was a $25 feet to cut the hair, i agreed, no issues. When i arrived and she was about to cut the hair, she said she needed to make sure the hair would take heat so the braids don’t unravel. So she tested the hair and said it was fine to cut it since it adjusted to the heat. She cut the hair, and i saw her use a lighter to seal some of the ends; she did it so fast i thought she had sealed all the ends. Anyway, right after she put the hair in a bun that i requested. When i got home, i noticed many of the individual pieces of braids had unraveled and were coming apart. I reached out to her to let her know this, she asked if i wanted to come back for her to seal the ends a bit better. I told her no that i was not going to come back; and i was going to seal it myself. Honestly, i thought my review to them would have been 100% positive, but i am so disappointed with everything right now, I am taking the braids out as we speak because it doesn’t look neat anymore. I think she rushed through the cut, because she had another client waiting, and perhaps if she had cut it the Saturday we did the hair, maybe we won’t be here. My hair is less than a week old and it’s already out.
Aside from this experience, the staff appear nice and God-fearing so that’s always a great thing, Unfortunately, my experience was not great overall.

I booked special for boho braids for $170.00 that listed on their Instagram page. I came in on Saturday, 4/5 to have my hair done. The braids are nice, it came out really cute. The were two things I didn't like. One, the amount of braid gel the braider used. The braids feel sticky at the root, Two, the size. When I booked with Dee, I asked what size was included with the special, because it doesn't specify on the ad, she said medium. The size of my braids are large not medium.
