Unfortunately surgery that was not necessary was preformed on my pet. I had to pay additional money for this surgery when the “Care Club” fee I pay monthly was originally supposed to cover it. When I expressed my concern and disappointment for an unnecessary surgery for my pet Dr.Scalia expressed they were “frustrated because an hour of their day was wasted” since the surgery wasn’t actually needed although this facility scheduled my pet for this surgery. Dr. Scalia took no responsibility for negligence and continued to blame the adoption agency (who are not doctors) for the “mistake”. As a business owner and service provider I found Dr. Scalia expressing her frustration about an hour being wasted of their day being wasted over something that was their call as unprofessional and insensitive. I will not be returning here for I feel care isn’t proper or genuine. My pet was also microchipped which I did not ask for and signed documentation saying I wasn’t interested. Very negligent practices.

The Vet and Vet Techs were outstanding. They took the time to explain things to us and answered our questions. I'm glad that we found them.

My lab was having problems breathing and was very lethargic. When I got there they took a while to see us even in his poor condition and only one other car was in the parking lot. They thought he may have cancer due to fever so took x rays and gave him opioids and said they were stumped and that I should take him to blue pearl emergency….after waiting for what seemed a very long time to check out and we did a lot of waiting in the “room” prior checked out $800. Blue Pearl took blood (elevated white blood cell count 60k vs norm of 30k) and more x rays gave him morphine. Talked to us wanted to run more test to try and see if they could figure out the problem…abdomen scan and urine test and to keep him. I declined and opted to see if the medicine would work….and came home with antibiotics, anti inflammatory medications and pain killers. Checked out $1,300. Grand total of $2,100. I was going to go to Blue Pearl btw but thought Pike Creek VCA could handle just feel like I paid a lot for nothing. 2 days later he seems to be doing fine! Aside from the money they are always super slow!!

February 13, 2023 my dog Gunner was clearly having health problems. I called the vet and immediately set up an appointment. Once I arrived at the clinic they took Gunner back and in a few moments we knew that he didn’t have long. A tumor had formed in his stomach and burst. Gunner didn’t have long and was clearly in pain. He passed peacefully. They gave me a few moments with him and I cried, he was such an amazing dog. The staff was amazing, I received his ashes in a beautiful box with his paw print. They even hand wrote a sympathy card that I received in the mail. They never made me feel like they were simply running a business, they made me feel like they cared and that helped immensely. Thank you all so much! I will forever remember your care with Gunner and all the love you showed my family.
