This place is a local treasure. I have found so many things for myself and my home. The volunteers (yes, they do not get paid) spend countless hours going through donations; sorting, storing, and keeping the store well stocked. I love shopping here.

If i could give negative stars. I arrived at 10:48 on Saturday with my wife and two children, and was greeted by "we close at 12 you need to hurry".I found a really cool lego stand for our son and asked to keep it off to the side as it was big, so I could continue shopping. Was told to buy it and take it to my car.The worst was my 2 year old daughter was riding on a Minnie push toy next to me and a woman named Donna started "yelling at her she needs a parent wheres your parent your in my way move". Since I was standing next to my daughter I replied "I am her father and she isn't in your way theres room to go around" as my daighter was off to the side looking at Halloween costumes.I asked to speak with the manager in charge which was a woman named Karen (not making this up) and she proceeds to tell me the reason Donna was rude is bc she is a school teacher and principal retired. That is not a reason to yell and berate a 2 year old. Overall experience is horrible with rude service.A simple apology or an attempt at one would have been somewhat normal instead was met with excuses. Very unprofessional.

I will never return to this place. I encoutered the most disgusting, rude people I have ever met. Sure hope Jennt ,Ginny or whatever her name is, feels better now that she completely flipped out on me. I asked if I could add up the white tickets that came off my jewelry and she just went nuts!!! I asked to speak with a manager and she wouldn't even talk to me. Unbelievable rude, mean and nasty lady.

Incredible deals! We knew it was the real deal when we pulled up to see a line, circling the building, of people waiting for the store to open.

I will never return to Acts after being humiliated, my character assassinated, my item torn, by one of the cashiers (who was NOT waiting on me, left her station to attack me) while checking out! The bizarre behavior blatant hatred was beyond description. This woman was not waiting on me... left her cash register instead of waiting on others came over to my bag and began to take my items out.. while accusing me of hiding something??? My cashier has placed the items in the bag and I was about to pay. She then suggested that maybe I shouldn't shop there if I did not like to be insulted and or accused? Even after I wrote the owner of this demoralizing event she never responded. Many years of support putting up with rudeness as indicated in other post... This incident was unprovoked, I was about to pay...epitome of discrimination, pure hatred and abuse. I was so shocked by this woman's actions I left the store rattled to the core, had I not been, I would have reported this "cashier volunteers" actions to the police. Never in my 75 years have I been assaulted in this manner for no reason. It took weeks to be able to warn others.

First and last time I will ever shop here. The women working there were some of the most rude and down right disgusting humans I have ever met. They were slammed, incredibly busy but when you only open for three hours a day for less than half a week, guess what you’ll be busy. We asked for some jewelry out of the case, a total inconvenience. I was debating on a purchase and didn’t even hold up the line, teeth sucked at me and eyes rolled. But the absolute worst part that made me have to be pulled out of there by my best friend was when a family whose first language wasn’t English, had a basket blocking the way. The lady in front of me rudely screamed “Is this your basket, you need to move it” which the lady apologized for and immediately moved. After that as I followed behind the worker, she said to another associate, “you can’t even talk to them because they can’t even bother to learn English” I was MORTIFIED AND SO DISGUSTED. We are in 2023, that that toxic behavior is not going to fly anymore. I work and live in Sussex county and I just could not believe the behavior of these women. If I could give negative stars I would. I wish my review would reach the people that run this store and can make better selections on the volunteers. Which I also would like to add, my friend volunteered for two weeks there and left because the ladies were so rude, which if I would have known prior I would have never gone in the first place. No wonder they are short staffed if that’s the people you keep. Just down right despicable, disgusting, and disrespectful.

Very short hours and they seem to change them pretty often, so check online (if that's accurate). People line up at the door to get in before they open. Cheaper than Goodwill, and a pretty big place, too. The women's shoes aren't very good quality, but everything else, especially the men's casual/sweatshirts and jackets section and the kid's section, is pretty good. The people who work there can either be super kind and friendly or really nasty, it's a toss-up. The parking lot tends to be kind of a mess, so drive carefully and watch for people in all directions, cars, and people hauling furniture around. You'll probably wait in line to check out longer than you're in the store itself, and I always find a couple little mugs or knick-knacks that I definitely don't need but also definitely want when I'm standing around.Overall a good place, but not anywhere I'd go out of my way to get to if I wasn't already more or less in the area.

This place is run very well. If you have a lot of vitamins that you’re donating, they even assist you at times getting it out of your car. However, take note, they no longer take linens of any kind. To include blankets, sheets, clothing, anything that is a material item. They did tell me that the blankets were from floor to ceiling in there.

I found the place to be greedy when someone has a voucher to get what they need when they have no clothes or anything they say get what you need and then when you take it to the counter oh you can't get that so you need to learn that we have people work for you what people are allowed to get with the voucher second off it's free stuff I have donated loads and loads to this place and they make money so where is it that their help people two shirts a pair of shoes and a jacket but I found the place to be extremely greedy and they are supposed to be Christian people that help the needy people I find that to be a bunch of bologna and I feel that they shouldn't even be allowed to resell things that we give to donate to help other people I feel that we should have a place where we can just go ourselves and trade and get things that we need without people making money on us cuz we can make our own money that way I donated to this place and couldn't find the help I needed why people do need help sometimes

Ignorant and rude people and on top of that they think that they can treat you any way they want when you’re in there trying to purchase things that are secondhand and they act like it’s Bloomingdale’s

Went there for the first time couldn't find prices on anything, asked workers they couldn't help me, one said she didn't know only was a bagger. On checkout I was told the prices by a not no nice woman. Asked about going outside to any other buildings & she as much as yelled to me only the furniture building. Even if they are just volunteers they should think why they're helping to help others or just stay home. Only decent one I talked with was a man sitting in the furniture bldg, very helpful.
