How the hell yall deliver my package to the wrong address

Tuesday 2/6/24Today, I entered the Atlantic Post Office at around 12:50 or so. I needed to mail two items, one was a light box, maybe 2-4 oz., to go Montgomery County, MD. Approx a 3 hr drive from home in DE. The office was not busy, the first customer agent was helpful but bc cause I had put a Priority label on it the item was $11.50. He told me that if I used another label it would be $9.50 and indicated that I should go to where the label were, which I did.There weren't any just regular labels, only Priority, so I took two, took off the "priority label" to write out the label.I went back in line to the mail is processed. The gentleman that I originally spoke with was coming back on but the other and only service agent called me over He could have, out of kindness, just said the label was not proper, explained it, but let it go. I let it go and paid the $11.50, but made the comment that it was only a 3 hour drive to MD. He made a smart remark that I should take it there then, His demeaner and response were unprofessional and unacceptable and his derision on full display. After his remark, I basically let loose and called him an """-Hole. Which he deserved. WE THE PEOPLE pay part of their salary. They are a PUBLIC SERVANT. I've heard from other senior citizens that Postal Service here in Milleville, DE has a low customer service rating bc of rudeness to elderly people! We may be older, but we VOTE and call our REPRESENTATIVES!

Today, I entered the Ocean View Post Office at approximately 4:15 pm. I needed a mailing envelope which took me about 5 minutes to write out the label and seal the envelope. I walked over to the entrance of the room where the mail is processed. There was a line and I got behind this male person, approximately 4:20pm. I waited about 3-4 minutes, it was still before 4:30pm. The person in front of me, a male person with keys in his hand was not moving. At first, I assumed they were his car keys - found out they were not. Because the line was moving yet he was not, I asked him if he was in line. He said no - the post office was closed and I could not go inside.I responded, I was inside the building. He said it did not matter, I could not enter. I said, you saw me around the corner and watched me walk behind you and wait - in line. He never said a word, he could have, out of kindness, explain to me what was going on. It was obvious that I had no idea. He just had me wait behind him as he rattled his keys. Once I found out, only because I asked, I did respond with a, you’ve got to be kidding me!” As I left the building, before 4:30pm, he just had one of “those smiles” on his face! WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I can truly understand why the Ocean View Postal Service has a low customer service rating!

After reading many poor reviews, I was half afraid to even go in for my passport appt today. The greeting was non-existent, which isn't ideal but not everyone is all smiles and happy every day. Customer service is a hard job contrary to popular belief. The clerk who took care of me and my appt, (Joni) was no nonsense, very knowledgeable and courteous. So far my experience with this office has been a positive one as well as my mail delivery service with them.

Horrible customer service. Rude, uninterested, slow. This guy clearly hates both people and his job. Can’t comprehend how or why he stays employed in a customer service industry.

Terrible post office doesn't deliver everyday not counting Sunday. ZERO management terrible customer service, only post office that refuses to forward mail to our new address worst yet is the annex in Roxana canned call no answer. No mail service period!sorry pathetic service

These guys rock! We had passport appointments for our kiddos. Mike helped us with courtesy and care, while another postal worker assisted the growing line with ease & patience. Thank you, gentlemen, for an enjoyable experience!

So funny, reading previous reviews and I had the same exact experience! Terrible customer service and you can just feel the attitude of the guy working there. USPS is a terrible org so I am not surprised their workers are not happy but at least try to get another job maybe?

Terrible attitude for no reason definitely wouldn’t want to call again I was on the call for two minutes he rushed me of the phone and had the worst tone of voice ever

I went in the other day to ship a package. The lady was very rude and the guys attitude was even worse. I was shipping a phone and she said It needed to be shipped ground and it would take 12days. When you can't ship to puerto rico ground! I asked how was it going to be shipped if it was going by boat and she said she doesn't know and that it will be shipped ground. && when she saw the address she asked if it was a real address because it wasnt a po box. 3days later I'm still asking myself how it was going to be shipped ground. Well I checked the tracking on it and it is already in puerto rico. So it took 3days not 12days! I have shipped electronics before to puerto rico so I was confused why she was telling me different.After all it was shipped on a plane. After I was told it wasn't going to be shipped that way. And it was impossible to be shipped that way. The only possible way was ground.Only gave 1 star to post a review! I think they need to learn a few things about shipping to other places that you can't drive to!

Worst customer service and experience. Mike is very unprofessional and has no customer service minded. I was sending just 1 envelope, which I took it from their shelf. I asked him to tape or glue the envelope he said NO! What! am I supposed use my mouth? And I saw the staple on the counter and kindly asked him if it's ok to use it and he also said NO! just quit your job if you don't like customer service!

Worst post office , lazy people that DO NOT do their job . When they do it they complain non-stop. I often drive to Frankford or Bethany Beach to avoid the rude lazy workers at this post office .

I have my right arm in a sling from shoulder surgery. The attendants were rude and not at all helpful with my 3 packages. One was mistakenly UPS. I was told "this isn't us" and tossed back to me. UPS is 1/4 mile away, too bad you couldn't bother mentioning that... back to Bayville. Thanks for nothing.

Unreliable , unfriendly , poor service and often huge delays ,lost mail deliveries of others mail to our address and sometimes two and three days with no mail .They do not take responsibility for their errors and never have I heard an I'm sorry.
