Recommend not using this place for vacation rentals….and especially through their Vrbo links. The agent who “helped” me was either incompetent or worse dishonest. She helped me get charged an extra $700 and then stopped replying to my emails.

We really disliked staying at a Vrbo without contact w the actual host. Berkshire doesn’t provide much, you have to pay $250 for sheets and towels. Lots of hidden fees and extreme lack of clear communication in regards to important aspects, like where your condo is, and how to unlock the door. There is no dish soap or sponges or any basics provided at all. We have never stayed in a place like this, this being our 1st time w a mega manager, I assume it’s that that causes the lack of genuine care. Also, we chose this place for the basketball court and the pool and we not informed we would only be allow to be in the pool and that’s it. No balls or having fun, I’ll continue my review on the actual site with more details on old people village. If you are looking to stay in the Rehoboth beach area, I would certainly make sure to get a host who can help you instead of help themselves w add on sales and where you can use a pool like normal Americans and not simply be forced to sit in the sun, stoic and board to death.

Not sure why my review keeps disappearing. The realty was ok and the house was basically ok but there was construction going on behind the house and in front of the house. Two weeks of banging and sawing was a real downer. Noise carries on the beach so you could even hear it down at the beach. Before you pay anything you should check into what construction is going on in the neighborhood at Broadkill Beach. There is quite a lot of construction or renovation going on.

The realty is so so. They have some really good agents and some agents that don't care about the short term renters. I want to provide some honest feedback about 1104 South Bayshore Drive. Pros: Great views. Cons: an oddly designed home with do-it-yourself projects going on. The Master bedroom upstairs had no closets. The closets were in the the master bathroom next door. The master bathroom had a shower in the jacuzzi so if you needed to take a shower then you had to climb two steps into the jacuzzi (hazardous when slippery). The door locks in the bathroom were do-it-yourself and did not work. The master bathroom was a very odd configuration with the jacuzzi shower, a toilet, the vanity, closets and the washer/dryer. It was basically one large open room. Anyone wanting to use the washer/dryer had to wait until the other person was done using the toilet. The kitchen upstairs was ok but it was missing things like appropriate pans for items such as pizza and lasagna and good cutting knives. I was forced to cut chicken pieces with a basic steak knife. The cutlery was the worst cutlery I have ever seen with rust on it. Everything in the kitchen was very cheap (plastic wine glasses) and from the Dollar Store. Also while we were there two new home construction projects started, one on Bayfront Drive and the other on Bayshore Drive. These were right in the back and front of this home. The constant banging and sawing ruined our vacation. Check into the construction on Broadkill beach before you rent.

Maureen is great to work with. She is helpful, but not annoying in anyway. She responds promptly. We have used this realtor for weekly caca rentals for two years.

Rented in The Peninsula at 33570 Windswept, apt 3102. Full size bed terrible, owner refused to reimburse for mattress topper after complaining. No stocked supplies from basic one day of soap, napkin/paper towel, bathroom basics, coffee, etc. Unit cut costs at everyway possible. Do not rent this unit.

Rented in the Peninsula at 33570 Windswept, unit 3102. Full size bed was horrible and owner would not agree to pay for mattress topper with 2 week stay once we arrived. Also super cheap, no basic first day supply of soap, bathroom basics, napkins/papertoweles, coffee, etc. Owner cut costs every way possible. Building was nice, but would never stay in this unit again.

My family and I have worked with Christopher and the Gallo Realty team to find several vacation homes for our visits to Delaware. He is always responsive and has made where we're staying the easiest part of our vacations. The properties are clean, convenient, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend whether you're staying in Lewes or any other nearby community.

Ruined two(!) families' vacations. My family and my friend's family picked out a house to share at the beach for a week. My friend told the realtor which house, he sent her the lease, she signed and paid for the week. We were thrilled to do a joint family vacation post covid, the kids were super excited, you get it. A month later we learn that Chris from Gallo sent her the lease for a completely different home, not the home we said we wanted to stay at. Sloppy! It's smaller, nowhere near as nice, and won't fit both our families. Gallo majorly screwed up, yet they're washing their hands of it and doing nothing. No refund, no discount, nothing. My friend is stuck paying twice as much for vacation as she planned since my family won't fit in the smaller less nice house. There are almost no houses left in Lewes at this point (unless I spend 3 there's what I planned for a less nice house). We both miss out on our joint vacation. Gallo screwed up, yet they don't give a crap, still collect their fees, and do nothing to fix the situation. What an all around crappy company!

Housing is ok if they clean b4 you stay which didn't happen in our case, and it would be nice if the parking permits worked in front of our rental but I guess that doesn't apply even for the price around rehoboth beach

My daughter rented a home near the beach from 10/9 to10/12/2020. We had to change plans. We had to call them numerous times. The service and their response was superb. Further, the house was perfect in every way. Then they went above board and called when they found my reading glasses. They did not hesitate for a minute in sending me my glasses which they had to wrap and pay to send. I could not believe it. I intend to only rent from them in the future. Thank you very much.
