We rented a 2 bedroom condo in Beachhaven for the 2023 season using Heather at Remax. I was blown away when a few days after checkout she sent me an email with pictures that we had left the place a mess and she was charging us from the damage deposit. The craziest part was the examples she gave: We left the blankets and pillows on the floor after stripping the bed, couch pillows were a mess; we left a measuring cup in the sink because we had already started the dishwasher; hair in the floor of the shower and we set the thermostat to 76 degrees and according to their checkout email, I was supposed to leave it at 75 degrees. The pictures below are her example of damage. She then told me she was deducting two months of electric bills from the damage deposit. I pointed out that the one bill had days before we were there and she said I was being charged the full bill. It was clear that she was 100% focused on getting the owner of the condo to sign with Remax again for 2024, so she wasn't going to explain to them that when you rent for 2 months that hair is going to collect in the shower and pillows do get thrown around. She even brought up a towel and toothbrush we forgot as if they had to call in hazmat to remove them. I would never use them again and I am definitely going with Jack Lingo for 2024.

Our family has rented from RE/MAX Rentals in Rehoboth Beach for 4 or 5 years now. Every year, we have been pleased with the RE/MAX staff. We have interacted with Heather and Tricia, both of whom seem to genuinely care that our scheduling and house-size needs are met. And the caring is paired with competence and attention to detail. I would totally recommend RE/MAX for Rehoboth rentals. I certainly plan to continue to use them for our vacations.

Don't know what happened. Last year the agent I was dealing with was lovely, this year... they fell down (different agent). The home we rented this year, owner must of had spies on us cause remax called 5x to tell us "something." The worst part the agent told us we could not ie smoke in our own cars, like inside OUR car because it's on the property and there's no smoking on the property. I said where do you expect me to go in the middle of the street. She said yes. REALLY! And then the owner of this property told remax we "STOLE" their paper towels. In the contract it states sometimes other guests leave supplies and we can use. The paper towels were insight/reach. Remax "tried" to charge us "$100" for those cheap walmart paper towels. I told them I'll go to walmart and replace, you BETTER NOT charge me for that. Never will I rent for this particular owner again. I wrote to remax I have yet to hear from them about my experience on this property.

Verna and the Re/Max Realty Group Rehoboth Team are FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!I was looking for a rental property in the Millsboro DE, and I was impressed with the level of knowledge and amount of data that they had about the market. Verna and the Re/Max Team were ALWAYS available for their tour and their responsiveness was incredible. Seriously. After looking at more than 5+ properties in a span of 2 days, I was able to close a property in less than a week! Their promptness, knowledge of the market, kindness, and good energy made this whole process simple and stress-free.Having tried to rent through other realtors I can say that Remax Rehobeth is truly elite. We used Remax for a rental property (11 Bellevue St Dewey Beach) at the beach and could not have been happier with ReMax and the property. Very professional and organized. Everything went smoothly.

Greg Cole !! Thank you, thank you, thank you. He found us the perfect rental property for our 2022 wedding. We tried the other NAME in town. With signs everywhere. What a total disappointment. Lingo has Horrible customer service. You guys are tremendous. And Greg is outstanding. Thank you for everything , we look forward to working with you next year and in the future

It’s disgusting what this company did to the kids for senior week. There was not complaints or any damages whatsoever and these realtors targeted the kids houses and evicted them with no refund. And a hours notice. Shame on you. These seniors have had a hard enough year to be treated like this. Especially from agent Sharon Palmer Stauffer who extremely rude, unprofessional and just straight evil. Karma is real! Will never ever use this company again.

We rented from a RE/MAX property for vacation recently and they claim that any damage, unless you tell them is your responsibility, no matter what it is. If you don't notify them, they automatically attribute the issue to as the person(s) who did it. Upon inquiry with RE/MAX they recognize no limitation to this statement. Renter's beware they believe this applies to everything.

A real bait and switch operation as part of the real estate octopus tentacle group known as Realtor.Com .Advertise in your price range ,then say they have NOTHING in that range .The agent admitted that she has not updated her sales profile in accordance with the current market ,thereby resulting in a waste of your time.Then you are referred to a " specialist" for your situation and the ""specialist" also has NOTHING that you are looking for _ MORE WASTED TIME .VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCES

Poor excuse of a Realty Group. Booked a week rental through Remax for the end of August. We arrived and noticed the A/C was blowing warm air and the house was warm as well. We read the owner's instructions to give it time to allow the A/C to cool the house. However, after 4-5 hours there was no difference to the temperature and it appeared that only one vent was blowing warm air. I called Remax and they were surprised that we had an A/C problem, even though the owner had 6 box fans and 2 circular fans in the house. The Remax contact told me that the A/C repair company would be there ASAP while understanding it was Labor Day weekend. Ok, fair enough. No repairman showed up to the house and by Thursday morning I had to call Remax again and explain the issue again. Then the repairman came out and added refrigerant both Thursday and Friday. Our sweaty week ended with me asking Remax to contact the owner for a partial refund since they advertised A/C but they did not provide it. (Also renting out a property knowing the A/C did not work is a lousy move). Remax agreed and said they would contact the owner and get back to me. After two weeks later I had not heard back from Remax I had to call them again and left a message. They returned my call and I had to explain the ordeal again and ask for the refund. Another two weeks passed and they did not call. I called them again, explained what I wanted again, and then they called the owner who graciously offered a $100 refund for a $2000 rental. It took Remax seven weeks before they called the owner for my refund. Bottom line is my Remax contacts were very pleasant but sadly they just gave us just lip service, awful customer service and did nothing without multiple calls. We will stay at the Delaware beaches many more times but we will never use Remax for rentals or sales.

We rented the same house on the beach at Rehobath Beach as we have for many many years however this year covid-19 struck. The beach and restaurants were closed. We of course canceled our reservation.Now....you would think we would have been met with a "yes we understand and of course we will refund your money" but No. We instead were told well..if we can rent it out we will give you your money back. WHAT!!THEN we were told by an remax agent our week was rented. Then we were told no only partially rented and oh btw there is a 900.00 cancelation fee. WHAT!!I find this to be extremely unprofessional, unethical and morally wrong. Liars and cheats to be exact!! Btw did I mention that remax took over renting this house to us last year and doubled our rent.Do not do business with Remax or any of their agents. I will use every tech platform to rewrite this message and inform all I meet to stay clear.Btw did I also mention that the previous real estate agency who was in charge of renting this house to us for many years was awesome and I know this would have never have occurred under their watch. Money would have been refunded with no problem and they would have suggested to us just that.

I wrote a review that was removed for some reason. The short version is they are dishonest and incompetent. Beware and do not use this company. They are unresponsive and try to hold people responsible for things they did not do. The house I rented was very dirty. Had not been cleaned at all I’m fairly certain. Or if so, minimally. The property description was completely inaccurate. Once you pay, you won’t hear from them again.

Horrible company is right. BEWARE- Renters beware- the rental agreement has a provision that requires you to report damages within 24 hours. What the provision clearly does NOT say is that they will try to hold you responsible for a previous renter's damage if you don't inspect the property upon arrival ( including lifting mattress pads to identify old stains) even in bedrooms you don't plan to use and report the damage within 24 hours. They submitted an insurance claim without my permission, but ostensibly on my behalf, for the travel protection insurance I purchased for damages that occurred prior to my arrival, even though I refused to sign the claim because the insurance is for damages I caused, not a previous renter. The house we rented was very dirty and completely not as described. Once you pay for the property, they don't respond to texts anymore. I had to ask for information regarding how to access the property a few days before our arrival. The agent responded to my text by saying "what is it you want?" When I texted to say the linen package I requested had not arrived, there was no response. I had to go in search of sheets when we arrived. Unorganized, mismanaged company. Worse rental experience I have ever had
