I wanted to Thank Wendy Destasio, Pharmacist! I could not find my prescription at CVS and other places. Through the help of Carmark CVS my prescription was sent to Safeway Pharmacy! After I picked up my prescription, I mentioned my Husband(who was sick with the flu) could not get Tamiflu anywhere. She said wait a minute and called another pharmacy and I was able to get him Tamiflu also! Thank you for your pharmacy and Wendy!

Unpleasant service: Safeway Pharmacy called me to say my prescription was ready. When I went to pick it up the pharmacy told me the med was out of stock. I was flabbergasted. I needed to take it daily. I asked her why I wasn’t forewarned, (I could have skipped the one-hour drive and gone to another pharmacy) the staff merely shrugged her shoulders. I asked her if she could transfer the Rx to another pharmacy. Again she shrugged. I asked when the drug would be available, she shook her head, indifferent. It was around the New Year’s Eve weekend; if i didn’t get the medication, i would go without it for three or four days. During that time I was in withdrawal and felt so sick; not until the other pharmacies reopened and one of them filled my prescription in two days that I felt better. Why would a pharmacy would tell a customer her Rx is ready when it’s not; why wouldn’t it call the customer when it was discovered the med wasn’t available? Don’t they have a professional code of ethics/conduct?

I only started using Safeway over a year ago. But what an improvement over the drug chains. Today was only one example of how the staff go out of their way. Stopped by to pick up a prescription on the way home from the hospital. The drug was over $500 and all their recommendations on getting a free coupon or discount did not work. Various eligibility and other snafus. They intervened, made a call, and got me a free trial prescription which is all I need. I was overwhelmed with gratitude. Then of course got 5 minutes of information on the ins and outs of taking it. By the way, they take Good Rx and are much cheaper than the chains.

Steven…… AMAZING
Susan, not so much. About one in every five visits she is pleasant. If you download the app and fill your prescriptions that way, its faster. We also still have our MD doctors and have something called MyChart where our physicians send the scripts electronically. The wait is never an issue for us

Stephen is fantastic and very personable. Plus this pharmacy is a hidden gem as I never see it busy compared to the big 3 pharmacies.

Very good customer service, everyone is focused on the customer. Always have the medicines I need. Never had to wait on line more than a few minutes. Definitely recommend this pharmacy over some of the other ones in the area

Nasty old woman behind the counter. She speaks to you as if you were a child or an inanimate object. Her attitude is self important and her remarks are dim witted. She will have you "take a seat." When you call her on her poor listening skills.

This pharmacy is amazing. I don't know why it has negative reviews. Stephen is the lead pharmacist and he knows more about being a pharmacist than anyone I've met. Especially how to give great service! I grew up in a pharmacy. My dad was a pharmacist, I really know what counts. This is the best pharmacy in the area, for pricing, and service.

My experiences with the pharmacists over the past years has been professional and very helpful I have had nothing but positive experiences with Susan for my own prescriptions and my husband's who passed away. She would always remind us of flu shots and recommend any others for our ages. Yes, this is a busy pharmacy but you tell your doctor where to call in your Rx. Looks like alot of people like and trust Safeway pharmacists.

Slow to fill prescriptions. Pharmacist Susan Sullivan said she was all alone and shrugged. Told me to have a seat and she’d fill it in half an hour. I came back and not filled. Had to wait 15 minutes longer. Very testy attitude. Never have such problems at CVS or Walgreens. Check other similar reviews and go elsewhere

Albertsons never reached out to me. I contacted them as soon as my initial review was posted. Now over a week with zero contact. no wonder all the reviews are so bad. Safeway and Albertsons are awful, stay away, they obviously don't care.

My partner and I had a horrible experience with the pharmacist, Greg. He was incredibly slow and when he finally was able to "help" us it was an incredible struggle. He was transphobic to my partner who was picking up his medicine. He was incredulous when I attempted to correct him. We only got one of the prescriptions filled, the other which was supposed to be at the Rehoboth location was apparently not there. Greg kept saying it was at a different store, but had no further explanation. This is frustrating because when we finally got the psychiatrist to call it was ready in mere minutes, so the medicine should have been there. Also how does it make any sense to make a final pick up date on a holiday, the one in reference being the 4th of July. Greg made this a truly upsetting and frustrating experience. I am profoundly disappointed.

Had an altercation with a night shift manager a few weeks back. I was unable to use self checkout as i was shopping for a customer and my app had prompted to wait for a line to open. when I mentioned this he became irate and told me I would have to wait at least 15 minutes. I waited and as I was waiting went through the necessary steps needed as the time was going to cause a further delay with my delivery. I contacted customer support and the called the store to confirm no lines were open. the manager picked up the phone and screamed loudly across the score then stared at me saying "your boss called don't ever do that again". I didn't ask them to call I was simply making the necessary steps. He then proceeded to scream at me over customers in the store while red in the face. I decided I felt unsafe and ultimately ended up canceling the order and leaving. unbelievable. I am still sickened by the experience.
