“I stop in this place every year when I visit Rehobeth, it’s surreal because most of the visits I see the same friendly owner. I was laughing one time because when my friends and I bought funny toys here I used to joke that I was getting toys for my child. Now these days as I am a father I say the same thing but I’m actually not lying about it anymore. They have all these cool vintage toys, I was psyched when they had mad balls and had to stock up. My daughter loves the toys, I let her pick one out one time and she was nice enough to pick out a $20 Rubber snake instead of a cheaper one. Circumstances have kept me from going to Rehobeth in the past few years, I miss this toy store. I want more mad balls.”

“My name is Dawnya and I was wondering if you would be able to help me with my event that I'm having on June 1st it's called Miss Dee Dee's Kites and kids I'm a grandmother of six and I live in a poor neighborhood in Wilmington Delaware where little black kids die all the time around me and don't get to experience anything because their life is cut short I recently took my grandchildren out to fly kites in a park next to my home and what I saw really broke my heart the kids that live in the neighborhood were in amazement at what I was doing and I couldn't believe it that they never saw a kite about 15 kids it looked like they just saw me pull an alien out of the sky on a string! I know that this is short notice and I was wondering if you would be able to send us some kites I don't have money to buy everybody kites I was wondering if you could donate some kites to us we will really appreciate it so that the kids could enjoy that day next Saturday would it be possible for you to rush some kites to me I would make sure that I promote your company for your generosity towards these underprivileged children of the ghetto these black and brown children that are not exposed to a lot of things but hurt sorrow death crying and pain! I just want to make this special day for them that's why I'm just reaching out to you please if you can find it in your heart to help me it would go a long way in my community thank you so much for your time I look forward to hearing from you guys thank you very much you have beautiful kites!!”

“The gentleman working behind the counter was nice. Lots of different candy options. My daughter got mochi and some white chocolate covered pretzels. My son got the chocolate covered pretzels and a ring pop. Ring pop was .99 cents. To that was reasonable. I got 3 dark chocolate peanut clusters. Everything was delicious. Thanks!! Loved the atmosphere and the music too!! Good vibes!”

“This place a hidden gem that is out in the open... so it's not really hidden when you think about it. They have all sorts of neat nerdy toys and stuff and the lady working the counter was super awesome and friendly.”

“I’d give the place a million stars if I could for the unforgettable experience the employees provided to my family yesterday. My grandmothers both lost their husbands within a year of each other and it’s been very hard on my family throughout this time. So I thought to bring them down to BAB to make their own plushie in memory of them, and secretly got a recording of my Poppop’s voice to put in my Mommom’s Bear before the rest of the group came in. We presently cannot find a recording of my Grandpa for my Nana but I still got a recording device in the event we do. Every single step of the way, every employee was accommodating to all our needs and enjoyed watching these ladies and the rest of the family enjoy the store. The recording of the bear was a secret until we left the immediate premises and showed her what to do. We got a recording of hearing my Poppop’s voice for the first time in almost a year. She broke down sobbing after realizing who it was and I definitely broke down sobbing with her. I think the rest of my family shed a tear or two as well and we had a group hug in the parking lot. After that, I went back in to the store as we got a video of her reaction and I offer the employees the ability to watch it. They were all let in the know of the loss so I figured they’d be curious. A few of the employees had been swapped for shifts at this point so one or two missed out but I provided a way they would be able to watch it still. The employees themselves all got misty eyed as well.
I just don’t have any other words to express my gratitude to all the employees for being so accommodating and outright generous to my family. They also got huge enjoyment watching my whole family and my heart just feels so full from such an amazing and also emotional experience. Calling them out by name, a huge shoutout to Kai, Danielle, Mora, and Jenn as the floor employees. I also personally spoke briefly with the shift manager to rave about them. But I’m also gonna rave about her too as she was part of the process as well. Major shoutout to Liss for being a kind manager who runs a fantastic group of employees for that shift, and further adding to the experience of my family. I really couldn’t be more grateful for how things went, them guiding us through every step, and once again, creating such phenomenal experience for my Grandmothers and the rest of my family as well.”

“This store is a gem and a lot of fun. My family and I were visiting Rehoboth (still here while writing this review) and we came upon this place. It really brought me back to my childhood. My 6 year old has been obsessed. The owner Ed was very kind to all of the rambunctious kids prodding through his goods. Great guy. My son left the store with an Arcee transformer, a Star Wars Clone Trooper, and part of my childhood. Any 80s or early 90s kid would appreciate this place. Definitely check it out.”
