“My name is Dawnya and I was wondering if you would be able to help me with my event that I'm having on June 1st it's called Miss Dee Dee's Kites and kids I'm a grandmother of six and I live in a poor neighborhood in Wilmington Delaware where little black kids die all the time around me and don't get to experience anything because their life is cut short I recently took my grandchildren out to fly kites in a park next to my home and what I saw really broke my heart the kids that live in the neighborhood were in amazement at what I was doing and I couldn't believe it that they never saw a kite about 15 kids it looked like they just saw me pull an alien out of the sky on a string! I know that this is short notice and I was wondering if you would be able to send us some kites I don't have money to buy everybody kites I was wondering if you could donate some kites to us we will really appreciate it so that the kids could enjoy that day next Saturday would it be possible for you to rush some kites to me I would make sure that I promote your company for your generosity towards these underprivileged children of the ghetto these black and brown children that are not exposed to a lot of things but hurt sorrow death crying and pain! I just want to make this special day for them that's why I'm just reaching out to you please if you can find it in your heart to help me it would go a long way in my community thank you so much for your time I look forward to hearing from you guys thank you very much you have beautiful kites!!”

“i just want to leave a review on the sweet lady dawn that works in the rehoboth five and below my grandmothers sugar dropped while we were inside the store and she was super helpful and knowledgeable when it came to helping my grandmother she even went and grabbed some juice that she had and gave my grandma to help her sugar rise back up she had it on hand for her co worker that is diabetic i just want to say thank you and that you don’t run into good people like this often so thank you so much for helping and we appreciate you so much dawn !!!”

“This past weekend we had an event at this location that was a huge success. We had 42 family and friends who participated in building 170 bears that we donated to Nemours Childrens Hospital in honor of my mom who passed away last year. Lexi ran the show like a well oiled machine and could not have done a better job. The entire staff was super friendly, energetic and their excitement and efforts that they put forth throughout the day were very much appreciated. The whole experience was beyond our expectations. I am glad I chose Build A Bear and this location to bring so many smiles and hugs to sick children. Fantastic Job!”
