I recently visited the Smyrna Delaware Aldi location to take some photos and videos of my motorcycle, as I have done a few times before without any issues. However, during this visit, a store employee approached me to address their concerns regarding safety for their employees. I explained that I was just finishing up and getting ready to leave, and I fully understood their perspective.
Unfortunately, the situation escalated as another employee came out and, rather than working to resolve the issue calmly, seemed to push the matter further, even though I was already in the process of leaving. The tone felt antagonistic, and I found it unprofessional that both employees
ultimately threatened to involve local law enforcement despite my cooperative responses and clear intention to leave.
I respect Aldi’s commitment to employee safety, but I believe this situation could have been handled with more courtesy and understanding. Customer interactions, even in unusual situations, are important opportunities to maintain goodwill and show respect. I hope this feedback encourages the staff to approach similar situations with a more balanced response in the future.

My favorite grocery store in Smyrna ? The staff is mostly friendly and helpful, and their selection is never disappointing.

Prices can't be beat! Even though they're more generic, most items are just as good, and the lower price makes 'em even better!The store is always clean. Although they only have one cashier working every night I've been there, the line moves pretty quickly.One star off for having to pay for using the carts. I don't steal 'em! Why do I have to make up the cost of those who do!?

Prices are decent but BEWARE!!!! I purchased bagels less than a week ago (02/24), ate one yesterday (02/27) and went to eat one today (02/28) and 2 have mold… threw out all but the one I sadly ate! Come to find out, sell by date was February 10!!!! These were purchased well beyond the 10th. Please do not leave OLD BREAD on the shelves for customers to buy if they’re already past sell by date. Beyond disgusted and thankful I did not get sick as I am pregnant! Probably will be going back to food lion.

Cheap prcies and a good place to stop if you need a few items quickly. Wouldn't do my full shopping list there as items are limited. Very clean too.
