We moved into governors place last April of 2024 and there is brand new management here and every time we have had any problems which are really minimal they come right out the same day pretty much with in an hour and have the problem solved they go above and beyond for our community and the new property manager is awesome she gets right on everything that you have any problems with she listens and she is very compassionate and she takes her job very seriously you honestly could not ask for a property manager and her team to have on your side when it comes to living here

Move in Aug 2023 renewed Aug 2024 Communication can be an issue however when we had water leaking by our washer/dryer they came out that evening to take care of it. Some maintenance issues take longer depending on the severity of the issue but overall a good experience.

Management was always a pleasure to work with and responsive to any maintenance needs. It is a very safe and quiet neighborhood as well.

My wife and I have been living here for almost 14 years. The townhomes are well taken care of by the maintenance crew. They are knowledgeable and hardworking. The maintenance crew are prompt and efficient. The lady in the office is very attentive to the residences and their needs. Christine is very knowledgeable in all aspects on leasing and will patiently guide you through the process of moving in. Wouldn’t live anywhere else. Thanks Governor Place for providing the best living accommodations. Will recommend Governors Place to anyone looking for a place to live.

I applied online (paid the application fee too) for an apartment a few weeks ago and have received no communication from them at all. I have called and left messages with no response. Would not recommend.

Save your time and money. Moved in November 2022 and have had nothing but issues. Went to the office multiple times about issues we were having and we had to contact multiple times to even get maintenance to look at it. There was never any communication. The “emergency” maintenance number is a joke. We called about a water leak on a Saturday and never heard anything back…went to the office a week later to bring it to their attention and was told they’d send someone out. No one still came out two weeks later so it was brought to their attention yet again and then two more days went by before they came to look at it. They do not care about their tenants. Broke our lease and moved out may 2023

Please save yourself the aggravation and don’t move here. Lived here for 11 years and I wish I hadn’t waited so long to move out. When I first moved in and it was under different ownership it was great! Once they got new owners it all went down hill after that. Maintenance is a joke. They half fix things, say they’re coming back and never do. One time I had water gushing out of the hot water heater for over 4 hours because I couldn’t get ahold of anyone from “emergency maintenance” because the guy wouldn’t answer the phone. They also left me with a water bill over $2500 because there was a faulty valve in the maintenance closet that the landlord tried to say I turned on (I wouldn’t even know where to look) and they wouldn’t be covering the bill. Had to go to the town manger have him come to my house where HE determined it couldn’t have been my fault and helped me with the bill(thank goodness for good people who listen). No updates as far as new carpet or paint for the 11 years I was there. No communication. I would just beware and be careful. It’s not worth the money to live there.

This place is an absolute mess. Not only was our unit not painted, there was what had to be years of cobwebs. Whatever broke they rigged. They walk in your house with no notice. Not to mention the BUGS, they have no routine exterminator. Good luck during summer, your electric bill will be upwards of $200 and you'll be sweating upstairs. Maintenance says it's because of the flat roof. Trying to get a hold of the emergency maintenance line is such a hassel. They never answer. A lot of people have moved out because the rent increase is absolutely insane. Charging $1560 for a two bedroom 840 sq ft unit is absolutely insane. Many people I know who moved out there regretted it after the first month. If you have no where to go by all means move there but beware of their schemes. They're an absolute joke. Moving there was the worst decision I ever made.

Never respond. Never repair issues. Raised the rent with 30 day notice 80%. Tried to back date a rent raise that they never issued. Didn't send a late rent notice for the rent difference for a year then suddenly sent a sum of 12 months all at once.. then tried to sue when asked for proof (clearly couldn't prove it). Ac vents were not connected to upstairs level. Disaster management

In June of 2022 I reached out to Governors place townhomes to see if they had any available units. They never responded, not even to say that there was no availability, and then they randomly reached out to me yesterday NINE MONTHS LATER as if I’d really just be sitting around homeless for 9 months. It’s perfectly understandable for an apartment complex to not have availability, but management should be doing the bare minimum of responding to inquiries to say “sorry, we don’t have any units available at this time”.

Avoid the headache. Advertised as spacious which is the farthest from the truth. Poor communication from property management. Maintenance issues are hard to get resolved as their are only two maintenance personnel for the whole property. Overpriced with no amenities other than an in unit washer that constantly causes flooding. Outdated appliances.
