The only reason this review has one (1) star is because I could not provide additional details without selecting at least one (1) start. This "contractor" receives ZERO (0) starts for professionalism, performance, knowledge of industry standards and skill level.We contracted with Daniel to build a covered front porch on our home. The total job was quoted at $10,000, and Daniel required a deposit of $4,500 to buy supplies and begin the work. Repeatedly we asked if a permit was needed, and Daniel replied "no." Work began in July 2021, including removal of siding, cutting existing concrete, and affixing wood "brackets" to the front of our home (brackets that we were later told were unnecessary and the incorrect way to complete the job). However, days and weeks went by without hearing from Daniel again. After several unanswered calls and texts, we had an inspector come by to evaluate the work in progress to determine it's worth so that we can calculate a numeric value to request be refunded to us by Daniel. The inspector said that none of the work was usable, and that a permit is definitely required. After months of Daniel continuing to not respond, we had to pay a large chain to come in to restore the front of our home by installing new siding in the front (the original siding is discontinued), which was more than the initial deposit we made to Daniel.Recently, a young woman came to our home and identified herself as Daniel's sister and indicated that he does intend to repay us our deposit, but was out of town for a family emergency. She provided her telephone number, but again, after several exchanges with her, she, too, is now unresponsive.We are seeking to be made whole and have our deposit returned to us. And, yet, still, no response from Daniel.We would NOT recommend this person to anyone.

It is so hard to find reliable, true contractor these days but Daniel is the worst contractor I've seen so far with no moral values. I have no idea how he got 5 stars, they look not realistic to me now. I regret I relied on them and paid downpayment.

I hired Daniel’s Contracting to complete a bathroom remodel, and they did an amazing job! (before and after pics included). They were very professional, quick, and helpful. They went above and beyond the entire time they were here. And the prices were more than fair! I will definitely be hiring for any and all of my home needs in the future!!

If I can give this contractor 0 stars I would, I hired Daniel back in November to do a simple job. That was to install a swing out commercial door, he buys a regular exterior door and puts in backwards to swing out. That was the first red flag, he sets a time for 7am and don't show up til 3 or 4. He doesn't keep his word the job was messy, unprofessional and incomplete. While his there working his workers have the audacity to go in the kitchen of the daycare and open new boxes of snacks for the future children(daycare center) and eat half of the boxes, steals my dust commercial boom and dust pan and here's the best part , they leaves tons of trash and debris for me to clean up. This is the worst in the history of contractors. Daniel Alvarez Maldonado should have his license revoke that's if he has a license. I will be following a claim against him. I expect a large heating bill this winter. This is not a commercial door

I hired Daniels contracting in May, asked downpayment for materials. I trusted him and gave cash money. I wished my project was done as soon as possible.According to our dealI pay him downpayment for materials,He returns back next day with materialsHe finishes his workI pay for his work the same day when he finish.This projects supposed to be finished in the middle of June.Guess what happened!I paid him downpayment for materials,He didn't return back with materials.He used my money for something else.I had to reach him to make a new deal.I had to pay more money.I had to get all materials myself.I have ocean of regrets and disappointments6 month has passed since May 2021 but still nothing useful was done.I have no idea if he can be able to complete his work ever.In fact, my basement is worse than it was originally.He removed finished ceiling, cut finished wall.He started to do something new before finishing previously started one.Since he used my downpayment not for materials but for something else, I got him materials myself bur it didn’t help either, he couldn’t use them.I have tons of trash of wasted materials.He couldn’t even install lights, couldn’t do plumbing.He doesn't have necessary skillset to finish his work.And he doesn’t have resources to hire someone to do his work.It is so shame that, he spent my downpayment for something else regardless his promise.I wish I never met with him, never trust to him.Outcomes/SuggestionsHe can't be trusted. He is not reliable.Never pay upfront for any reason he might be asking!Ask for license for Delaware and County!Here is my advice to Daniel;Don’t blame your clients, if they rated you with 1 star.Look to your past and see what have you done.Blame yourself, not your clients!

He gave me a good quote. I thought I'm lucky I won't overpay. But getting my down payment he either tells coming in 30 minutes but never come or wants more money in order to start to work. There must be a trick to hook people or he has issues with memory. A hand written contract doesn't mean anything. Under no circumstances should anyone trust and hire this company. If you have already paid non cash money you can dispute transaction through your bank to get your payment back.

Enclosure built on our deck. All work is shoddy. The roof leaks . A portion completely blew off. The sides flap up and down in moderate winds. Promised to come and fix it but doesn’t show up. He does not answer the phone to finish the project. Under no circumstances should anyone hire this company!
