I have been a AAA member for six years. My first issue occurred four years back with our classic GTO. We were told that a tow truck would come pick us up within an hour. It did not show up and we were told it would be within six hours and by that point it would have been 2AM on the side of the road. I figured this was just an unfortunate situation. We had a private tow truck pick up the car. Now, two weeks ago a similar situation happened. My car was broken down. I was told it would be a one hour wait. Later, I was told four hours; after that I was told to reach out to the tow truck coming from Baltimore (I am located outside of Philadelphia). AAA had me reach out to the driver and AAA later told me that they had picked up the car and in the morning when I went outside, the car was still there From the initial point of contact to AAA to when the car was picked up. It was a 25 hour wait. Upon asking for a credit, they applied it to a renewal for the membership,
Even though the impression was that it would be a credit to my bank account. They have elected to not reimburse me.
In short, do not use this AAA. The service is not delivered as expected, they are not polite and you will not get your money back hence the poor reviews. Save yourself the time, frustration and money and use a private tow company.

Took payment out 2 months early without my concent n won't return it I keep getting the run around n they tell me something different every time I call it's been 16 days since they took the payment

I have been a AAA member for 30 years. For at least half that time I never used the benefits I've paid for yearly. I was locked out my home 1/11/25, and called AAA to assist with unlocking my door. I was told that I would have to upgrade my coverage and wait 7 days for that benefit to kick in. I told the representative how is that going to solve my current situation. I asked the AAA representative can you please make a one time exception, I've been a customer for 30 years. Sorry, there's no exception I was told but you can purchase an upgraded membership that will open your door and I can get them to open your door today for $134. I was appalled after dealing with this company loyally for 30, they couldn't waive this upgrade fee, after all the money I have given them for 30 years, no to mention having multiple policies for home and auto. AAA has truly demonstrated they were all about getting money from me and nothing else. AAA truly showed they could care less that i have been a loyal customer for 30 years and would not help me when I really needed them. I had to get someone else to unlock my door for way less what AAA was trying to demand from a 30 year customer. Yes, it's time to look for another company to give my money to. I'm truly disgusted, and disappointed of the treatment I received.

My agent took several weeks to respond to email and phone numbers provided, sometimes not responding at all, to the point where they only got back to me the week my policy was set to renew. For any questions/ changes, they referred me to a corporate line. Highly do not recommend. Worst insurance experience I’ve had.

I purchased AAA Premium RV insurance through Delaware as I was told it was not available in South Jersey so when I called AAA In Delaware I specifically asked would I be covered in south Jersey I was assured I would be covered in all 50 states I had automatic renewal for 4 years then I got a flat and gave them a call only to hear they wouldn’t come to South Jersey for an RV they did provide 4 numbers for me to call and hire my own help I called all 4 none of them would come either. So there I was left on side the road in 100 degree heat to fend for myself after paying almost $800 for roadside assistance that refused to come out. I’ve filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau only to be offered a refund of any fees I paid to get up and running. Well I didn’t have any fees since I couldn’t get anyone to come out and had to do my own roadside assistance. AAA IS A COMPLETE FRAUD and do not provide roadside assistance they sell. I have asked multiple times for a refund since they sold me an insurance they don’t provide. And have gotten nowhere on my requests. Do not buy from AAA unless you are ok with paying for nothing. Because that is what they are selling no roadside assistance when you need it.

I AM FED UP WITH AAA. I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER FOR MANY YEARS BUT THIS YEAR I HAVE WAITED NOW OVER 3 WEEKS TO GET A NEW CARD AFTER I RENEWED AND PAID MY MEMBERSHIP ON MAY 22, 2024. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worthless at times. I pay for the premier service buy theirs nothing premier about it. I called for a tow after all my antifreeze leaked out and was given a 4 hour window why they wait for tow companies to bid on the tow. I was told I could not leave my house until they got there and I had to be the one to give them the key and that my spouse could not give them the key and if my spouse did they would have to be the one to call and request service although they are on my plan and I had to be to work. It was just a big waist and I decided to add roadside assistance to my insurance plan for future tows just incase this madness continues. I would recommend just having roadside assistance through your insurance than through aaa. Worst money ever spent on their poor customer service

I have no idea who this amazing lady was But Chris you did an outstanding job! Thank you for keeping in touch the whole time while trying to get me back home!! Your manager needs to know you went more than above and beyond with what you did last night! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart to find someone before 6am…. Triple AAA if you see this that woman deserves a vacation and one hell of a pay raise!

I needed a jump in January and they told me no one was available for5 hours. They told me to get a 3rd party service to jump the car and they would reimburse me. I summitted the payment reimbursement claim and a month later a check arrived for the full amount. I deposited the check in the bank and the check bounced. I called them back and all they said is they would investigate.

Went there because it was a designated IDENToGo to get digital fingerprints. The staff was very friendly, knowledgable and just plain HELPFUL. IDENToGo is a fairly new way to verify identity to get a copy of ones criminal records. That facility at the AAA location at the Riverfront is (THE) place to go.

Wish they had a 0 star option. When I worked for AAA we actually provided service. Can someone explain to me why I have been waiting for a simple tow since 7pm YESTERDAY and I have had to call at least 7 times now in order to get nothing. All I want is the tow service I am entitled to with my membership. AAA has absolutely 0 value anymore. They cant even provide their core services anymore
