As I was looking for this establishment, asking people did they know where it was, funny thing, others ended up at the same place as me. The Pet Hospital is located inside the Pet Smart Store. I had to laugh because people didn’t realize the hospital was there. BUT! The pet store was clean, store staff was friendly and the hospital VET staff was super! The doctor and her assistant were very kind, listened to me and answered my questions as well asked questions of me. The visit was professional and friendly experience. Her diagnosis and treatment were on point. I never remember to take pics but here’s my grand-pup

The staff and vets at this location are great but they use online scheduling which is totally unreliable. I was told to wait ten days for a specific appointment (a glucose curve) then called the day before to say they had put me on a day when the procedure could not be done. I have to wait almost another week. Stay with the people here - don't trust anything online.

The insurance protect they offer is more like a bait and switch protection. One of our cats recently died and when I called to cancel the insurance, we had to pay for services provided under the plan since our cat died and we no long needed coverage. It’s a big scam.Today we call to have a pet coverage cancelled since we are moving in January and no Banfield services are available in area. We were told we still needed to pay the monthly premium in till June 2023 even though we areNot able to get any services. Would not recommend this coverage with Banfield. We requested to speak to a manager which could take up to 48 hours. Terrible customer service.

The staff are very friendly and the cost of keeping your companion healthy doesn't have to be expensive.

Signed up for the puppy plan, waited 40 minutes for our first appointment, and while the vet tech was sweet, I wanted to speak to the actual vet about my concerns. That aside, I had an emergency with my puppy eating a sanitary napkin and after being on hold for 15 minutes, they told me they had no appts and recommended me somewhere else. So I’m paying monthly to not speak to a vet OR get emergency appts? No thanks. Definitely cancelling as my puppy deserves better care

This place used to be great 6 years ago when I first got my GSD and used to be open 7 days a week, unfortunately times have changed. If you have an issue don't bother calling you'll be on hold for over 20 minutes if they answer the phone at all. My dog was limping around so I called to make an appointment and was told we couldn't be seen for 3 weeks. I replied well what am I supposed to do the girl suggested I take my dog to the animal hospital in the area. So I'm paying 80 dollars a month at banefield only to be told to take my dog to another place where they are going to charge me 100 dollars just to see my dog? This place is a joke. I am closing my account this is ridiculous. If you have an emergency don't even bother calling them if they answer the phone they will just tell you to take your pet to the local pet hospital.

I've been going for over 12 years. It was great. I think there needs to be clear and complete communication when giving instructions to owners. Vet techs have less patience for pets aggressive behavior. They were able to handle my cat so much better year's ago but I do understand it's a different world now..so hence patience is not over flowing.

I've used Banfield for years and they are great until you need them. My pup has had an ear infection for about 3 months now and I have been unable to reach my local Brandywine Banfield Hospital. I have gotten in my car and driven to them just to be told they don't have any appointment and I have to take my pup to Springfield pa for service. Well I will after contacting their corporate headquarter and being informed I have to send in a email to file a complaint; I decided I'm done with Banfield they will not get another dollar from me. Brandywine Hospital is the worst.

I was a big fan of Banfield beforehand. I had adopted a cat last year and I signed him up for the OWP plan. It all started fine. I had some doubts about the quality of the visits due to not being able to see how the doctor treated my cat. I had a vet visit every month. Basically my moneys worth. But after the 3rd month they started changing their hours. Instead of closing at 5/6 they started closing early and not taking any appointments. After my cat got neutered the next available appointment was about 2/3 months away. I am not sure if they are understaffed or there is an issue with scheduling but it makes no sense for them to be 2/3 months out. Sadly my fur baby was in an accident and passed away. I informed them and they told me I had to continue paying the monthly fee. They gave me some b/s excuse as to why I had to pay but i cannot believe how uncompassionate this company is. I feel that after the loss of my fur baby that should be enough reason to not continue the contract. I would honestly avoid comming here. There is probably somewhere better you can take your furbaby.

They are very caring people it's just hard to make an appointment it's hard to get through on a phone and then unless you make the appointment online you're lost

I have been a loyal customer since I adopted my dog almost 5 years ago. As of late, the decline in service standards due to COVID-19 has seriously affected the service I am used to. No longer am I called and reminded about upcoming vaccines that are due (or comprehensive exams), appointments are changed to "drop off" instead of holding to original in-person waiting, and the staff's standards for pet care have gone by the wayside. In addition to the aforementioned new standards and reduced hours (how can you be closed for 2 days out of the week and emergencies are pushed out 2 weeks?), the staff / vet standards for pet care and comfortability have not been a priority. My dog, who recently got his latest vaccine, had it splattered down his side, on his nose and paw, and had it matted on there with no regard for wiping it up during his exam appointment. I asked that his nails also be trimmed, to which I came to discover 2 of them bleeding from being clipped too close, and 3-4 of them splintered and mangled from haphazard clipping. None of which was stated to me or brought to my attention until after the vet walked away and I noticed the blood on the floor of the store. Honestly do no wish to put my dog through this experience again, and am currently looking for new care. So sad to plan to exit a caring, comprehensive program that has not seen a rise in care standards since Covid.
