Grill girl mixed up and made order wrong twice even after girl who took order told her. My onion rings were greasy and mushy.For the $70+ I spent, could have had a nice sit down meal.

Phenomenal old school Italian hoagie. The bread, meat, hot peppers, and everything in between was excellent. It’s a tiny unassuming little deli with a lot of history and oh man can they make a sandwich! Definitely becoming a regular.

A great and tenured place to grab sandwiches quickly! The prices are in line with most sub shops and you're likely to get a sandwich you enjoy here. Like any place, if you're ordering around standard mealtimes or shortly before a Phillies or Eagles game you may want to give them some extra time to put your order together. It'll be worth the wait!

This is only place to get a real Italian in North Wilmington. (I prefer the "Old-School".) Their meatball sub is tasty. Love their mozzarella sticks. The only weak spot of my preferences on their menu is their cheesesteak. It's a serviceable at best sandwich but much better than buying one from Claymont Steak Shop. The Capriotti's on Silverside is still good but I find myself going to this Casapulla's more often.

Dave, your response doesn't clear anything up. First, I was not and am not at all disappointed that there was mayo on the sandwich. Mistakes happen in life. I know I am far from immune from error. I was upset that your manager never offered to re-make the sandwich for me. If you're being told that such an offer was made, that is absolutely untrue. I was simply told that your manager takes a large number of orders and almost never makes a mistake and that I must have said mayo and not mustard. In other words, he placed the blame squarely on my shoulders and offered no pathway to rectify the situation. Frankly, I was stunned. Since I was a regular customer, I was already aware that it isn't necessary to say no mayo when placing an order, and it is highly doubtful I would have said that and caused the confusion. When my wife came home with the sandwich, she told me there was no mustard on it, and I would need to use my own, but she didn't know anything about mayo being on it; had she realized that, I don't think she would have left the store with the sandwich without calling me to make sure it was correct. I don't doubt your employee might have mentioned the mayo, but my wife didn't get that part of the message; she only knew there was no mustard, and she assumed I wanted to put my own mustard on it. Sometimes communications fail. I truly appreciate your staff noticing the anomaly and trying to head off the problem. I didn't read what was written on the wrapper before opening the sandwich, so I didn't realize there was mayo on the sandwich until I saw it. When I called your store about the mayo, I was calm and fully expected that your staff would offer to make a new sandwich. Instead, I was made to feel as though this was completely my fault and my problem, and throwing the sandwich in the trash was my only option. No offer to remake the sandwich was ever made to me. Upon realizing I had just paid for what I expected to be an outstanding sandwich and had received absolutely nothing of value in return, I became upset. To be clear, I was not at all upset at the mistake; I was upset at how it was handled. I was extremely busy that day and planned to eat the sandwich while on a webinar from 3 to 5 pm. While your manager may have perceived me as yelling, my voice can get much louder than that. The intensity of disappointment over a sandwich preparation error simply isn't enough to inspire me to truly yell. However, I am sure there was emotion in my voice, all of which would have vanished had I been offered a new sandwich. Once it became clear to me that no such offer was forthcoming, I recapped with your manager what we had discussed earlier in the call, this time with emotion in my voice, to confirm that I was out of luck. He reiterated to me his near-perfect record of order taking and that the mistake had to have been on my part, regardless of how deeply I detest mayo. It was then that I realized I was not getting another sandwich and told him that I was going to throw it into the trash. He seemed okay with that and still made no offer to remake the sandwich. So, after 3 minutes and 24 seconds, I thanked him and politely wished him a good day and ended the call. My call to place the order was 55 seconds long. Yet, it took 3:24 to find out I was not going to get a replacement. By the time I was off that call, the webinar had begun, and I made a sandwich with supermarket cold cuts. The fact that the webinar had started would not have prevented me from getting a replacement sandwich, since my wife would have picked it up for me. I stewed for the next two hours at having been screwed out of $28.23, stuck eating an inferior sandwich and, most of all, having been treated as something far less than a valued customer. I considered various options including going to the store at 5 pm, after the webinar ended, and asking for a refund, as well as disputing the charge on my credit card. By the time 5 pm arrived, I became melancholy at the loss of your sandwiches, which I truly enjoyed for

A great sandwich with such a home feel when at the shop. The crew members were all very nice and treated you like family. Cool little sub shop with all the goodies to make some killer Italian food at home. Will definitely be back if I'm in the area again. As far as the sandwiches, We ordered the Old School Italian, the Italian with prosciutto, as well as a Philly cheesesteak. I think the Philly was my favorite, but the Italian was darn good!

absolute worst service I've ever received they put my fries in a fryer that wasn't on and let them soak in oil for half an hour before that oil got hot my cheesesteaks look like a 2-year-old made them I don't recommend this place to anyone I probably wouldn't even give this food to my dog that's how bad it

Ordered a large Old School Italian with extra meat, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, hot and sweet peppers, oil and vinegar, and a healthy spread of mustard. Literally the same order I've had a few times a month for quite a while. My wife was kind enough to go pick it up. When she got home, I was disappointed to find my sandwich covered with mayonnaise instead of mustard. The mistake is not the reason I will never patronize this business again. Rather, it is the manager telling me that I said mayonnaise, not mustard and letting me know that he has been there longer than any other employee and takes many orders every day without making a mistake. It wasn't that I simply preferred mustard today and wished to have that instead of something else. I always get mustard. Moreover, I detest mayonnaise. I rank it alongside nuclear weapons as one of mankind's worst inventions. I can't stand the smell of it. It is impossible to believe that the word mayonnaise could have been uttered by me when placing an order for myself. Yet, the manager had no trouble believing this and asserted his perfect order-taking record. This really is a shame. I prefer to support a small, independently owned business rather than some large national chain. The selection of deli meats they have is difficult to find in this area. I also enjoyed their ravioli and stuffed shells. Now, I have to give all that up, because I feel as though I have been ripped off. If you decide to patronize this business, and I suggest that you do not, make sure to check your order carefully before leaving the store. I ended up paying about $16 for a sandwich I threw into the trash. This sandwich purchase was one of the most disappointing business transactions into which I have entered in my life. Worse now, I'll be stuck with the junk they sell at Jimmy John's going forward. This business was founded a long time ago by someone who likely knew how to treat customers far better than the current-day personnel. I'm sure the founder would be ashamed and regard how I was treated as nothing less than disgraceful.

I’m not gonna leave a 1 star review because I really do enjoy the food here, and I also work in sales/service so I know how much a businesses reviews affect the well being of the establishment. I consider myself a reasonable guy and I generally give people the benefit of the doubt to a fault. My wife and I come here all the time because we’re right in the neighborhood and it’s convenient and the food just so happens to be decent.BUT, the service sucks. Whenever we call in an order or even walk in the place we’re made to feel almost as if we’re inconveniencing the staff. Now I know it’s hard to find a job that you LOVE going to, but you are being paid to do a job and if you don’t like your station in life right now than you need to do something about it and stop rubbing the negativity onto the people bringing money in for YOUR paychecks; not a very good strategy. (Rant over).Any who, I came in tonight to pick up my order, stood in line and the cashier didn’t even look up at me. She helped 2 people that had just walked in after I did, until I finally said something and she continued to help them and then another one! So that’s 3 people altogether! 1 of them after I said something! Ridiculous! I don’t know if there’s some kind of different line etiquette that’s different from the rest of the world here, but not ok. AT LEAST acknowledge your customers, at the least.
