Central YMCA is noted for its great and super friendly staff, who are very welcoming, helpful, and understanding. The building is nice and clean with a good amount of equipment, including a pool, basketball, punching bags, free-weights, rowing machines, squat platforms, a sauna, a steamroom, and an indoor track. Parking is good, though not ideal in winter. Major discounts on services like massages are available for members. The atmosphere is positive for those who prefer to mind their business while working out. However, the facility can be boiling hot on all levels, and front desk service can vary from very attentive to occasionally understaffed.
