Apart from Chase's extremely exorbitant interest charges, which effectively cancel out any so-called rewards, their handling of disputed charges is shoddy and slip-shod at best. Their so-called fraud department, a dictatorial law unto itself, is out-and-out nuts! In response to the latest instance of a single, solitary, unauthorized charge, this fraud department went through almost a full month of the card's legitimate transactions, reversing and reapplying those charges at random, including multiple interest adjustments, in a completely arbitrary and capricious frenzy of altered statement figures, without any notice or explanation. This level of supreme incompetence is both unacceptable and intolerable. Online, the billing balance for the statement has varied with various logins. And after a full calendar month since the single disputed charge was first promptly reported, the problem remains unresolved and the billing statement still not correctly updated. Quality control oversight of this card's maintenance staff is evidently nonexistent. Buyer, Beware!

A charge appeared on my credit card statement for $ 191.00 which I didn't recognize. I notified Chase, and after a very short investigation they told me it was a valid charge. This is after I sent proof that this particular merchant was paid in full with a different credit card. Chase does not have the customer's back!

I have a Chase freedom Card. I put in a dispute with a merchant for $9,700.00 back in November 2020. After correspondence with Chase I was officially told that the Merchant had not replied and my dispute was being awarded to me. I received this back in March 2021 May 8th I received second letter from the Dispute Dept, saying that they now have paid the Merchant $5,126.00. They didn't have my consent. Why, because back in Feb before Chase dispute awarded me the full amount. I had been told by the Chase people that if I wanted to settle the dispute faster, I should offer to allow the Merchant partial payment and reduce the dispute to $4,600.00. I took their advice and was Surprised when they awarded me the full payment of $9700.00. 30 days later , they change the final verdict. I'm upset and called the Dispute Center. The supervisor refused to give me her full name, or which office she was out of or anyway to be able to reach her again. Now I'm told that they will go back to the merchant . Why?? The matter was already settled. I've tried to talk to someone in Head office or at least a Manager of the Dispute section. No one will give me a name, tel. Number, address to where to call or write about my complaint.Chase had no right to change the verdict of the dispute once it was settled. I didn't authorize payment of $5,126.00 to the Merchant.S. Today I contacted the dispute department for a small but valid dispute from a purchase made in March 2020. They wouldn't process my dispute although I couldn't get through to customer service due to long wait times from crisis the past two months.

I was looking to move both my business and personal accounts to a different bank. When I looked at Chase, I set up an appointment online with the Wilmington, DE location on N Walnut St. Due to Covid-19 the system told me they were only doing virtual appointment, no live ones at this time. I set up an appointment and quickly received a system generated reply/confirmation that I would have a virtual appointment with Anna Spartz. The invite came from her email and in it stated that she would call me for the virtual appointment. On the scheduled day and time, I waited for a call. After 15 minutes, I figured something went wrong. I sent her an email and received a reply that she was waiting on me. She thought it was a live appointment, apologized and we rescheduled a virtual appointment for the next day.The next day I received a call from the bank 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time. I was at my desk, not engaged with something else so I was able to take the call. A person, David, no last name was calling. He told me Anna was out sick and asked him to cover. No problem I thought.I had a 15 minute conversation with David who did not have much to say. He answered a few questions and I was not confident in his ability to handle my questions let alone my business so we ended the call. He said he would send me information on what I was interested. I gave him my email and mailing address. It's now 2 weeks later and I've received nothing. I guess they are not interested in my business. I'm glad I experienced this lack of attention, follow through and detail before moving multiple accounts to them and have them as me "partner". I think I dodged a bullet and future headaches.

Branch personnel are providing chase standards of service. My only issue is that they make you walk around the corner to access the branch.Rather than using the main lobby entrance. In saying that I’m a young DISABLED man of African decent. And every time I visit this branch I’m harassed by their security personal. Usually over me parking in the handicap parking spaces. I have handicap licenses plates on my vehicle that allows me to utilize those spaces. First time I didn’t say anything, second time after I was told to move and my car was inspected I asked do you check everyone who parks here plates or am I special. Third time I became upset and asked the security person “ do you think I would park here if I wasn’t allowed to”? He stated people do it all the time. I suggested that he shouldn’t start a confrontation before you confirm the license plates. When I entered the branch I heard the guard inside talking on the walk-i- talkie confirming I was in fact in the bank. This would all be a job well done if it was a one time thing. Or when my wife had a similar experience when she visits that branch. Unfortunately she doesn’t. It’s just me they seem to have a certain interest in. This makes me very uncomfortable and for that reason I now visit the Newark branch where I’m not a suspect based off of my Disabilty or where I park my car.

This is an impressive Chase Bank location as it's one of Chase's executive offices in the area. The hours of operation could be improved, but apart from that, the representatives and service provided here at this spot is quality.

Salimah Hackett has the most unprofessional customer service. Didn't even pretend to be interested in my business with your bank. She proceeded to speak loudly as she attempted to bring up personal and confidential information on a computer in an open lobby. She carried on conversation with coworkers, even as I left because of her poor customer service practices. The greatest information that I received was that there was a branch to open closer to my home soon.
