Goodwill store in Chads Ford Pa has really gone downhill. They recently raised all of their prices to crazy levels for crap merchandise. They seem to get new managers every month or so which indicates high turnover. Other than a couple cashiers most are rude. There was an item I was interested in purchasing with no price. After waiting several minutes to get the item priced the price was way out of line so I declined to purchase. The cashier then told me to return it where I found it... really? And the senior discount i.d. thing is insane like they are giving you anything extra because they raise the prices ahead. But when it is very obvious especially if you are a regular shopper you have to show your i.d. at 65 then basically you are calling me a liar. And they also put the new tags on items that you wind up destroying the item trying to get the damn sticker off. Sadly Goodwill has changed and not for the better. This store has been my favorite through the years but they are pricing themselves out of business under the guise of helping the community

Terrible how goodwill is expensive. We really need to find a different donation place that doesn't charge people an arm and a leg to get USED items. The government should pay salaries so it doesn't impact the people. EVERYTHING is expensive. Can we have one place we can depend on to give us those things we need when money is low? Terrible goodwill. Very disappointing.

I called Goodwill on Kirkwood hwy to ask them their return policy on clothing and the staff member was very rude. He told me to look on the receipt. His tone was very nast and sarcastic. I was just there earlier today. I don't know why he felt being rude was ok.

Nice store, but ONE criticism: They put stickers directly on the surface of leather bags. I found a vintage bag last week that is a $300 bag retail. A sticker definitely should not be put on these surfaces. At the very least, it should be on the bottom. This one (see photo) was on the side surface. It can easily ruin the leather.Otherwise: This place has a great selection, it is clean and more organized than other locations I have seen all over the country. The employees are very friendly and appear to enjoy their jobs.

I found a longchamp bag for $3 price and when I were ready to check out the cashier take away the bag because a “policy” wich doesn’t exist or appears in website and refuses to sell it because it wasn’t supposed to be on retail at that price, I think that is very unfair and if they don’t want to sell something don’t put outside with tag on the store. I asked to another store and that policy doesn’t existShe just wanted to keep it to herself

I spoke to the manager and their excuse is resellers . Low income families and single parents can’t suffer the consequences for the resellers. People are already struggling to buy food. Please stand by your mission and bring back the $0.99 tag sale . That tag sale is only one day and it can’t hurt your store . A lot of people depend on a Sunday sale . Please stand by your mission

I just wanted to chip in with my opinion here. Donations in Bear, DE. FANTASTIC. Unlike the Salvation Army, Goodwill in Bear, DE rejects very few items. Which, I really appreciate. They will help you unload and are generally wonderful. I have been donating their since 2016 and they have been consistently that way for the past 7 years. I went into the store on Phila pike to look around and possibly purchase something. Lets face it, we are not in Neiman Marcus here but, the store was was well organized and I found some glassware I can use. I have also had the pleasure of visiting their main offices on Lea Blvd outside of Wilmington, DE. They are very organized there and contribute so much to the community. Overall from me, Goodwill of DE and DE County get 5 stars. Great job, please keep up the good work. I know it isn't easy!

It was clean and organized. Found everything I needed.Make sure you bring bags, they don't have them. They don't have a lot of carts either.

I love going to Goodwill, but prices have been getting out of hand. Most people go there because they need a good deal.
