Wow what a selection. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have everything you need and anything you could want from beginner low cost to high end Pro. Love this place, my son and I go in sometimes just to kill time. We spend a couple hours everytime we go in.

I feel like the good old days of spending an afternoon in a guitar shop are non-existent anymore; they’re consistently sold out of everything, and all the fun guitars are always locked up (I know this is common, but when you’re only left access to play beginner model stuff…) and in order to play gibbons and martins, you have to get an associate who then proceeds to hard sell your ear off when you’re just trying to play guitars. The staff doesn't even greet you at the door anymore. Several other dealers within 30 minutes I’ll go to from now on.

I dunno what's going on here? Was in store for at least 45 min with 3K in cash for a les paul. No one offered to help or even acknowledge me. Went elsewhere. THEN, came back with a trade for a guitar they had. Perfect jackon rr1 custom shop... all original docs. They turned it down because of a 15$ back plate I could order off ebay. They have good selections so I hope they start to care before this place is no more. Shame.

Always quick service and the technicians and assistants are all very knowledgeable. They don't leave you hanging and they don't bug you either lol. Good prices. Good people. Will definitely be back.

My wife mentioned she might be interested in learning to play guitar so I stopped in to check things out. I was in the store for 40 minutes and not one employee spoke to me or offered any help. Every time an employee would walk by me they would avoid eye contact even when I was clearly trying to get their attention. This is the week before the holiday and it was busy so I tried to be understanding. I came back later in the day with my wife. We were in the store for 30 minutes before someone finally spoke to us. My wife explains she’s looking for her first guitar and the employees response was to tell her that there isn’t much of a difference between acoustic guitars and she could just pick something off the wall. He gave less than 30 seconds of his time and told us he had to deal with a line in the other room and that he’d come back and help us. We didn’t need our hands to be held, all we wanted was a minute of his time and to have someone more knowledgeable than ourselves point out a few guitars that would fit our budget and goals, but I felt like he just blew us off. We waited another 15 minutes, the employee came back to help other customers but never spoke to us again. We ended up just grabbing something off the wall that my wife liked the look of. We only spent half of our planned budget because we didn’t know what made one guitar worth $250 and another $500. Some signage around the store explaining the basics would be really helpful.

be aware of the final bill. i was charged for warranties on more than i asked for. also automatically enrolled in ncredit card protection without my consent. reminds me of a slimy used car salesman, dont ask for help, they will just upcharge you. go with someone who knows or do research first. out of a few things and upsold us on what we were told was a similiar better product but that was a lie. hope the commision was worth us never returning, no wonder people order on line and skip the store

I ordered a few things to get back into playing guitar, but when I picked up the first half of my order I found out that another store shipped this location the wrong color. Luckily I didn’t leave the parking lot yet. I went back in and one of the guys ordered the right one for me. The order came pretty quick for being the holiday season and on the second visit to pick up the remaining items and guitar, everything looked good. I’m pretty happy with the condition of my purchase and received great customer service from the team here. I believe their names were Alex and Dave.

Went in there today before lunch. Not many customers around. I needed some help and was ready to purchase various guitar accessories. I used to frequent this store where I’ve purchased several higher end guitars. Now the place is very unorganized. Way overstocked, messy, no service and very poorly selected music playing within the store very loudly. I tried out another high end guitar of interest, but honestly could not hear myself play due to the loud obnoxious music playing. Employees seem to not care and ignored me. I left. I guess I have to shop online from here on out. Quite a disappointment. I stopped in a month ago and experienced the same thing. Thought I’d try again. Not like it used to be at this store. Something has changed and not in a good way at all. Giving 2 stars simply because there were a couple of respectable guitars I saw. Sadly, I think I’ll steer clear from here on out.

The technician in repairs is awesome, but I’m not sure what everyone else is doing at work. I didn’t have anyone up to help when I was trying to test out a bass amp. What really got me was them taking over 5 minutes to answer the phone then putting my on hold at least 3 times every time I call.

My friend and I were visiting from the UK and had a great experience here. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The selection of guitars and guitar gear is great. We bought some very cool guitar straps. Special thanks to Christian and Alec who helped us during our time there

Selection is large and they let you play any guitars. I was there for two hours looking to buy an electric guitar. I had a bunch of questions. Despite multiple entreaties, i was unable to get any time from anyone who worked there (at one point, I stood for 15 minutes waiting for a rep who was just chatting with a friend). I finally left without a guitar. Extremely disappointed. No customer service whatsoever. Will not purchase a guitar from that store.

Great staff! Awesome selection! The associate that helped me got me the best instrument within my budget. Never tried to sell me on anything just wanted to make sure I got the best I could and I did.

The Brandywine store is Dirty, disorganized, and no stock what a dump! I wanted to try a marshall amp and they didn't have one in stock. The loud pop music being played over the pa would have made it impossible to hear anyway. I didnt even bother bringing my guitar in.

After a lot of thought and reflection. I'll say this. Guitar center as a whole is a beautiful thing. Unfortunately this store in Wilmington missed its mark. But I am optimistic that they will work on they're short comings. The store itself has a amazing collection of new and used gear. With some work and re-training of staff I feel this store can be one of the best in the area. Just remember guys. You work in a music store. Your musicians yourselves. Your jobs rock! Show it. Next time I'm In your location I hope to feel that energy again. Remember that you are representing a store that for decades has helped musicians big and small find what they need. One love
