Lena the nice women who calculated my taxes made me feel like family. She took her time and welcomed me comfortably. She is a wonderful business asset to H&R Block who shows that she cares for your best intrest.

Lena does not know what she is doing. I do not know how shw has a 25 year service award and still cannot do simple taxes. She put in my first time homebuyers credit as .35% and not 35% which I corrected her on. Then she did not put our charity contirbutions on the taxes. She also asked me how to spell simple words. She said we owed $19 to federal which was completely incorrect as we have 2 kids and a first time home buyers credit. I got my taxes done elsewhere and we were due $1900 from federal. Glad I was smart enough to know she did not know whaylt she was doing.

The gentleman who prepared my taxes neglected to scan and attach my daughters birth certificate and social. Which he kept on hold. He didnt call,text, or email to tell me. I only found out because I called about my refund advance. Had I not called for that my taxes wouldnt have been sent in. I paid for my taxes to be prepared and an additional $40 for them to be prepared correctly. I coupdnt even get a courtesy call about something that is such a simple fix. When I called about the refund advance I spoke to a gentleman named Brent. He was extremely helpful and had the issue fixed within minutes. He called me back and double checked everything was in order. He had my advance back to me in minutes. He went above and beyond and has an excellent disposition. Because of his attention to detail I will be back to use H&R Block again next year.

Displeased with the tactic to get returning customers in on loan AD only to mislead them and still get denied in the process ... I'm putting myself through school and don't have the means to just throw away $400 on a tax prep( lovely women by the way) who is basically doing the same thing that I would do had I used one of the many self services out there ..When you call customer service they are oh to happy to inform you "We can not escalate this issue because it is seasonal" There should be a clear indication on rather are not someone would be approved for the advance before hand. This is a obviously a scam to wheel in as many undervalued ,underpaid working class citizens as possible.

It was an all out great experience. My agent truly fixed my issue and gave me tips going forward. I have been doing my taxes but came back to that location and will continue to go to Lena Hom.
