First time I came for appointment nobody was here at 9 am opening time and we all stood outside frustrated. Second time I had an appointment the office was open but the tax preparer had not arrived to work yet despite our appointment. We discussed pricing at initial appointment and I was told 160 dollars. When I came to pick up I was told 404 dollars. I suggest going elsewhere as I will now do after multiple visits here with disorganization at each step and several wasted trips.

Dropped of my documents and was scheduled for a appointment the next evening. Never told even a estimate of how much it would cost until very end of my appointment. I was also upsold as she started asking and typing in things related to itemized returns for my DoorDash taxes instead of Standard Mileage Rate short version in which documents i brought were for this. Was never asked which way i'd prefer to file or any further basic questions (charitable donations just one example). I WILL BE going back and getting my papers and filing somewhere else before tax day. Got a quote for exactly what i need done from Jackson-Hewitt for $106 to file them.

Not only do you charge an arm and a leg but even your older tax preps don’t know nothing. I came here to file my taxes and you messed up leaving me without some import tax credits. I had to go and amend it with another tax place because you and your workers didn’t tell me I qualified for some of these important tax credits. I’m never coming back to you again . Horrible

Why doesn't the on line program tell you that a Standard Deduction eliminates your deduction form? Rather blasé on the Accuracy Review page. Oh I guess that you have to make an appointment with a specialist. Duh. I am going back to Turbo Tax.

The customer service here is always awful. These people must be contractors and not actually employed by HR Block cause a few of them should have been let go long ago based on how they treat customers and talk to them. I called to get pricing for my taxes and they stated no one was there to help me and they had a client and they were incredibly rude. I should have reported them last year when they completely blindsided me by charging me almost $350 for my taxes then threatening to shred my documents because I asked for an explanation. Literally go anywhere else and save yourself the stress. I'll be filing a BBB complaint.

#HRBlock #BlockAdvisors never ever use them...14yrs,no problem. This yr a nightmare. Location-Marsh Rd.Wilmington DE. Never ever again. A mistake THEY MADE by entering incorrect direct deposit information is possibly costing me over $2000. Less than helpful...run around..and 12+ hours on hold.

I had an awful experience here with my taxes this year. I tried to make an online appointment but the account page of both the website and the app were blank. I called this location to make an in person appointment instead and they insisted I try the app again, so I did and still no luck. Called back and got an in person appointment. When I had my appointment the front desk person again insisted I upload my documents via the app, even after I explained that the app wasn't working for me and I had made multiple attempts. She told me I HAD to use the app for document upload and I said ok but if I literally can't, what do I do? She finally said they'd meet with me anyway and look at the paper documents (wow, what a favor!) This part is my fault but I forgot one of the documents I needed so I had bring it back another day. They told me I could just drop it off but when I got there they wanted me to stay so they could finish and were annoyed I had another obligation to get to. They left me a voicemail later telling me I owed almost $400. No one ever discussed pricing with me up front despite their bogus guarantee. I'm a single person, who does not own a home, does not have children and does not itemize but they're charging me almost $400 because I had $58 in savings account dividends, 2 W2s and I sold 1 share of stock. The best part about the cost is I left two voicemails to get clarification and no one called me back, finally someone answered the third day I called. Then the tax specialist was annoyed I was asking for details about the pricing, and kept trying to get me off the phone. I was finally able to get a breakdown from her but it was like pulling teeth and she gave me a different number (off by about $40) than she had given me previously. After hanging up I immediately called H&R Block's general customer service number and explained the situation. It took about 25 minutes to get through to someone and the customer service rep had me repeat myself multiple times as she wrote down everything. All in all it took almost an hour. She said I'd hear back in 3 days after the support team reviewed my case. I called back today, about 2 weeks later, and after waiting almost 30 minutes on hold I was told by a customer service rep that there were no notes on my account and that no case had been submitted for me. She offered to resubmit and started the tedious process of asking me a million questions (apparently they can't see your account information) and I just didn't have it in me to sit on the phone for another 45 minutes, only to have to wait several days/weeks again for a response. So long story short I'm going to pay $400 for 10 minutes of work so I can get this nightmare over with. Obviously I would never return to H&R Block after this experience nor will I recommend them to anyone.
