The Pep Boys in CLAYMONT DE failed to provide quality services that I paid $1300 for. My 22 Explorer had no problems upon arrival. After two visits for a simple new tire installation and brakes my vehicle is shaking and vibrating and my alignment is off. When I returned to have them fix it under warranty at a scheduled time Pep Boys requested, they again failed to fix the issue and then proceeded to explain to me they do not have a certified alignment tech working and they are unwilling to work with me on the price or provide a refund.
I have been charged for services that Pep Boys failed to execute and the only answer they are providing for me is to make another trip to a different Pep Boys wasting more of my time and money.
Horrible experience and customer service.

I was a regular here from 2017-2019. Service is ok but I got no phone call after the service was completed and when I called to check the status of my car, the person on the phone told me they are closing in 5 minutes and I have to pick up the car before that. They did not have the courtesy to call me to confirm the completion of service. And when I pointed that out to the person on the phone, he hung up. I had to rush there to get my car and the employee asked me to get out. He literally said “get out”. That was my last time going to this location and Pepboys altogether. Such unprofessional behavior!

After being told my slow- leaking tire was already fixed and given a quote for the major repairs, I waited nearly a week, only to learn the repairs were unable to be completed and the technician had quit. I was then told I would not be charged, and I could pick up the vehicle at my earliest convenience (even on Sunday which had just been added to the service schedule). When I picked up the vehicle on Saturday, I drove away and saw that the tire had NOT been repaired as I was told. I then had to take it elsewhere to be repaired.
So EVERYTHING about this extremely disappointing experience was a devastating inconvenience and an absolute
WASTE OF TIME.

My wife visited this location to get two new tires installed. When she arrived she was greeted (and I mean that loosely) by a service advisor who seemed like he wanted to be anywhere other than work. After the tires were installed they sent an invoice to me which I promptly paid and had a receipt for but they kept saying that it wasn’t. After about 10 minutes they were able to verify that the payment was made. When my wife arrived back home she noticed that the spare tire from her car was just thrown in here truck and not secured. When she called and spoke to the service advisor he nonchalantly told her that they shouldn’t have done that and that she could come back to have it secured in her car. We live in PA and she drove to DE for the tires so of course she wasn’t going to drive back. Overall the tires were installed but the customer service left a lot to be desired. We won’t be returning to this location.

I Walked in 7/11/24@815ish and male at counter was on phone with another customer on speaker phone and they rushed her work and her car parts were put on incorrectly. First flag i should have left.. came in to see if I could get an earlier appt than 10am. I just asked for an oil change he rudely stated come back at 3p. Only one person working and am I dropping car off.

They are literally .02 miles from my house. Very efficient service. I was a little rattled with pricing but the car is in much better shape. Manager was really nice and professional.

This pepboys in particular was amazing. Car was rattling on a return trip home and was the only place we could find that was open. The staff took care of us quickly, explained all the issues, what the charges would be, and gave us options on how we wanted to proceed. After a quick fix, they had us moving on our way. Big thanks to them, due to their professionalism we are only using pepboys mechanics going forward.

Staff were very nice and personable. I did not have to stay long for either of my oil change or break change services. Management was very nice!

NEW TIRE INSTALLATION. Simple 45 min job tuned into 3 hours. Apparently the worker had trouble removing tire off the wheel ..??? They try or did something else for 2.5 hours until manager went in and told them how to do their job. They did not bother wipe out sealing residue off the new tires so it looked like crap and did not look professional. Only saw it next day since they finished installation after dark. Another dumb thing they done is sending me my FREE report about my bold tires and telling me to replace it... I WAS THERE TO GET NEW TIRES.
I gave PEP BOYS another chance. Brought different vehicle for ABS inspection. They did not have right equipment to perform the testing and give me truck back without any work done. Referring to visit dealership. Wasted time again without any results.
This was a last time me bring business to this place.
Would not recommend.
