We love Riverfront Pets!The first time I took my nervous rescue dog Lilo to get her nails cut the groomer was so sweet and patient with her. Definitely made me feel comfortable too. While I groom her myself, I still take her here to get her nails trimmed and they always do a great job.Besides that, I love their selection of high quality pet products. Everyone who works here is always friendly, knowledgeable and kind. This place definitely deserves 5 stars! ✨

Such a great experience every time we go! We use both the grooming services and the self-wash station. The staff is wonderful and incredibly helpful. The products they sell are also top-notch, so all around a wonderful place for dog owners to have at their fingertips in Wilmington!

I went in at 330 today and the counter people looked at me odd then told me they close soon. I said the sign said 5? They said for self service it’s an hour before close and I said ok it’s 330? They mentioned someone was using it, I looked over and that person was almost done. There was no reason I couldn’t have waited 5-10 minutes and then used it for my dog. I drove 20 min after someone recommended this place for nothing. Will not be coming back. Unfriendly staff also groomers were using the second stall isn’t there one in the back? Why would the groomers use the front self wash for customers?

Waste of my time. Simple service they refuse to complete because they didn’t want to stress my dog by finishing his nails. They had a muzzle and didn’t not ask for my assistance. They just refused to complete. I asked them what can I do to help them them finish. They know I wanted to quickly bath him and the starting cleaning to close the wash area 15 minutes before it was to close so I couldn’t. I called ahead as well. I’ll take my money somewhere else. Horrible experience and waste of my time and day.

Arrived at Riverfront pets at 3:30 on a Sunday. I was immediately told by the cashier that the self-service washing area would be closing at 4:00pm, one hour before the store closed, and I had a half hour to wash my dog. I explained that I not only called but I was also online, and nothing online said that self-service closed one hour earlier. They let me still me attempt to was my dog, but the water was cold and the shampoo was watery. I only attempted to try to wash my dog and get warm water out of the faucet for about 20 minutes. I explained that I couldn't continue due to the cold water and the watery shampoo. I asked if I could bring my dog back the next day for free proper wash with warm water, and I was told no, even though I was only there for about 20 minutes. I didn't feel welcomed. This place absolutely deserves 5 stars. First off, I only write a review is something was absolutely horrible or exceptionally amazing. In this case, this place is exceptionally amazing and here is why.I called 2 days ago to see if I could bring my dog Prince in for a grooming. I mentioned it was urgent as I had just been told he was requested to attend a special needs prom event called Night to Shine to provide therapeutic services to prom attendees in a week and a half. They originally stated they had no openings to offer by that time. She then stated that she may still be able to make something work. She went above and beyond to work something out for me and she managed to make something available the next day, where he would switch off between 2 groomers in order to get an appointment asap.The next thing is that as they were washing him, they notice he had a blueish tint on his ear, as they were clearly very aware of what they were doing and they cared to ensure he was okay, so they took a picture of it and asked me about it when I picked him up. Thankfully we determined it was only dye from back when he was first dyed. I have not had a grooming experience where the groomers cared so much that they would not only notice small things that are easy to miss but also go as far as to take pictures of it for me to see because they are concerned.I feel very safe leaving my fur baby in their hands and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for the best, safest, and most caring grooming experience for their babies too!

I’ve been taking my dog here for months and have to say I’ve never had any issues. They listen and communicate greatly about my dog. Always on schedule and decently priced.
