The advent of online shopping is slowly killing the small store, so to find one still in operation is such a rarity and a real blast of nostalgia for people within a certain age bracket. The owner tries to open up by 12:00 most days and having reached a venerable age serving the model enthusiasts of his community has certainly earned the right to this eccentricity. For a relatively small property there is a good stock to browse through. Being a tourist from the UK I can hardly become a regular customer, but I can at least urge any model makers in the Chadds Ford ,Pa area to pay a visit, chat with the owner for a while and buy a few items however small. One day soon we will no longer be able just go look for something interesting and talk with someone of such experience.

Your small town mom and pop hobby shop.
Lots of stuff in a small space. Experience and knowledge is what this place it.
Bob was extremely friendly and great to talk to. Best to call First to confirm they are open or leave a message. He will call back.

I’ve been trying to get my truck back from these people for weeks. They keep giving me the run around . They told me a week ago someone will call me back , now just a moment ago I spoke with Michael and they keep giving me the call back option.I’m going to report you guys to the Business Bureau tomorrow 1st thing.Very rudeUnprofessional and beyond inconsiderate.I won’t ever ever recommend or do business with you guys.

Wasted two hours of my time trying to bind my transmitter to my receiver . They told me my servo was bad first , it’s wasn’t. Then the guy says my receiver is bad , but it was a brand new transmitter and receiver. Never had been bound before! Truly an awful situation for someone new to the hobby.

Brought back a lot of good memories. Growing up, my dad and I would frequent a local hobby store and work on various models. Simpson's had just the right amount of dust and products to unlock all sorts of core memories. Definitely pricier than other stores but they had what we needed (rocket engines). We'll be back!

This is a proper model store. It is not a place to come for scrapbooking stuff or sewing materials. It is more about model cars, boats and planes. It has a wide range of other supplies, knowledgeable people working there and is just very pleasant to browse. There are also a couple of mad cats that hurtle around the place, livening things up.
