I just visited ALO North for a massage and it was wonderful. The space is beautiful, the staff is excellent, and the whole experience is more than just a service.

This is now Alo North. I wasn't informed it was changing until I called to make an appointment! My stylist was the same and great as always!! However when I went to pay it was 67 dollars more than I used to pay!! I was never informed of the increased cost. The place has been redone and is horrible. There is a tree stump for your belongings and it's all open, minimalistic they call it!! Cheap is what I call it!! The new chairs are super uncomfortable. There used to be a coloring deck where you couod sit in a cozy chair while your color was being processed, now you have to sit (even longer because their colors now take longer) in this uncomfortable barber shop type chair. It used to be a cozy salon!! The huge window where people walk by feels like you are on display! Oh and you have to cancel within 48 hours or have to pay 50% of your service and if you cancel within 24 hours you have to pay 100% of your service!! Ridiculous!! Im a healthcare worker so sometimes I get called in to work! Plus if you are sick I guess you just have to go or pay! This place is horrible and as much as I love my stylist I will not be a customer there anymore. I found a place way cheaper and nicer!

I had scheduled my first appointment with stylist at Spice today… the salonecalled early this morning and left message saying that I wasn’t going to have the stylist I had scheduled with and that I needed to come in an hour and 45 mins earlier than my scheduled time. Being Saturday morning, I slept in… called when I got up. They asked if I wanted to schedule for another day. I feel like Spice didn’t really want a new client. Very disappointing!

Beware of the posted prices. I had gotten lashes here many years ago and was pleased. Their website said full set starting at $180. Even though I moved further away recently and had two fancier salons near me that do lashes I went back here due to the price and my former experience. I told the girl I wanted basic lashes nothing long or crazy. That is what she gave me. They look nice (not as good as before, but fine). When I went to pay they were $250. I was in a rush and just paid and left, but the more I sat with that price I couldn't figure out that if they started at $180 and I just got a basic set how It got to that much higher. I emailed them the next day stating my lashes were nice but could they explain the dramatic price difference and never heard back. I might as well go to the closer fancier places because that is what they charge for a full set anyway but you get snacks, wine and a relaxing lounge to sit in for that price!

I have now converted my whole family to come to Spice. I always see Casey, she is a hoot to chat with, knows her hair, and is extremely personable. She now cuts my little girls hair and I've brought my husband in as well. He now wants me to schedule him an appointment with her, which makes me chuckle because he was always a clippers in the bathroom kind of guy. It's a great salon all around. Very clean and nicely decorated.

I asked for light brown hair with blonde highlights. What I received is dark brown hair with blonde spaghetti in my hair. I am so upset and sad!!!
