Mr. Clifton Sykes has a verbal agreement with me to make and install outside step rails pay him up front, but the job was never finished they were never correctly made the paint job was bad and not installed after numerous calls to him he said he would refund my money, then he said he was done and was not gone to finish the job and no refund please do not do business with this man he not to be trusted.

I needed a handrail installed going up my steps to my front door. I contacted 5 or 6 different companies trying to get this work done but none of the companies followed thru and called me. I got Sykes number from A &H metals and called them and Cliff got back to me right away.He sent out his employee to do the measurements and got back to me with the amount and I agreed to it. They made the handrail and it was installed Monday. It is really nice and looks good on the front of my house. The work is great with real quality of the of the metals. I would recommend Sykes if you need this type of work done.

I hired Sykes Ornamental Company for interior railings The owner, Cliff, had charged me $5,500 for interior for the basement, 1st and 2nd level. He had my railings for over a year and the day of install, two of the sets of railings looked like someone had painted them with a mop or broom, and the other two sets were completely unfinished!!! Tap cons for concrete and used 4” plates for a 3 3/4 wide piece of wood, which split the wood! Also used “blue” screws on black railings. Contacted another company I’m going to have to have all my railings redone!? Would never, ever recommend this company!!!

Not treated respectfully by Clif when I asked about touching up the paint job they had done on my rails. While the rail job was done well the paint needed another coat. After contacting him by text and phone call. He responded that his business shop was closed due to. COVID.-19. Three weeks later on 5/4/2020 I texted a message wondering when will this be resolved. I admit I was annoyed about this paint job not being addressed as agreement. Clif called and proceeded in a way of verbally being annoyed. That I contacted him. He indicated this was not a big issue . He had the audacity to ask Did I want him to cut a check. Total disrespect to me an elderly woman who paid on time and even paid the balance in cash as he requested . He raised his voice, swore and hung up on me. Customer service in the toilet. This babyboomer is done !

I highly recommend Sykes for your outdoor railings. They do beautiful work in a timely manner and their rates are reasonable. My husband and I were so impressed with the owner of this company and everyone we came into contact with from the office manager, Lisa, to the gentleman he had helping him. They were all professional and polite. Most importantly, we love how sturdy the railings are and how great they look! If you are looking for a banister/railing you can call this company with confidence.

Wow! Great communication, great work,great speed, great company! If you need railings/iron work, this is the place.Got our front railing installed before Thanksgiving as promised. I no longer fear elderly guests falling on our front step.Most surprising was my initial call. I left a message and received a call back within the hour! Clifton was professional, courteous, and likeable.
