Brought my weed eater in for repair after one month was told they changed carburetor twice and even though it had good spark and compression they couldn’t get it to run. After being billed $35 It was returned to me with missing fuel lines missing. Called to ask about them and was told they don’t assemble units that are not repaired. But how about returning customers parts? Do yourself a favor and AVOID this repair shop.

This business was recommended to me, and I brought two front lawnmower tires into the store to be fixed. Both tires were flat and one was off of the rim. I live about 35 minutes one way. We dropped the tires off and they called us the next day stating they put tubes in the tires. We paid $58.50 for the two tires. We picked them up and I mowed on them for about an hour. One tire immediately flattened and came off of the rim. I went back the next day and they replaced the tube again and charged me $29.00. I was a little taken back that they didn't replace it for free, as I felt the tubing may be faulted. I paid and didn't say anything, hoping this would be the last time I had to go there. I went home and mowed for about 15min, and the tire flattened and came off of the rim again. I also noticed the other tire was flat too.
I called them, and they stated the guys probably didn't check inside of the tire, and there could be sticks or other things causing the tube to pop.
I took the two tires in for a third time and they called us at the end of the day stating the tires were dry rot and would need the whole tires replaced. I asked how much and they stated $45 for the tires. I asked the female employee if the new tires would have tubing and she stated they would not. I asked if we could get some credit for the cost, as I have already paid for three tubes, which would not be on the tires. She stated I would have to speak to the owner, once I came in to the store.
I went and picked up the tires and spoke to the owner. I asked if there was tubing in the new tires and they stated there wasn't. I asked why the workers didn't look to see if the tires were dry rot at the first visit. We would have just paid for new tires, but now we have paid for three tubes and labor.
The guy got up and walked away from me saying he didn't understand what I was asking. When he got back, I told him we already spent $87.50 on something that we now don't have, three tubes. He initially stated he would give us a discount for the cost to $146.00. I stated I thought the cost of $87.50 should be taken off. He then stated he was going to give me the cost of the three tubes, not the labor. Now my cost would be $125.00.
I asked the guy what the original cost of the tires were (without the credits) and he kept stating the tires were $45 and the cost was $125. The guy finally gave me a receipt, after I asked, but it didn't have the original cost.
I tried asking again, but he just seemed annoyed. I felt I wasn't going to get any other help, paid and left. I felt I was taken advantage of. It seems they do not have competent workers, but that should not be on the customer. I will not be using this business again and will not be referring anyone to it.

Even though customer service could be improved. They are reliable and update you on what they find. Completion of the work is pretty quick generally as they are a busy shop. I find them better to work with than the other shops in the area. Reasonable prices. Good work.

Steve in sales at Jack's small engine repair answered all of my questions. All of the regular maintenance parts are available for the Powerhorse wood chipper #115061 through Jack's, and Northern Tool.
My decision to purchase the chipper was aided by Steve who didn't rush me off the phone, and offered insights based on his personal experience. I live in Northern Michigan where a recent ice storm devestated the trees on my 20+ acres of mostly wooded property.
I'll be getting my blades, belts and anything else fromJacks,
including for my generators, snowblowers, power washer and more. Thank you Steve!
A+
