I don't even know where to begin. It was such an amazing experience. The staff was unlike any other. So kind loving and caring.Food was a 5 star, very cozy Zen environment. Very good for healing and disconnecting fully. The services like panchakarma are spa services superior to any other and I get a lot of services. The area Alachua is such a specia loving happy communityl and beyond safe. A hidden gem. When you get there you will soon realize it wasnt by chance. In addition the springs are a must visit along with a historic landmark tea house that is a couple of door down from the retreat house and a also charming experience.

AHR is a small Ayurvedic health center. The campus consists of two buildings and is kept very neat. My room was nice and very clean, the same as the bathrooms and kitchen. The food is very well prepared and tasty. However, the best part of AHR is the staff. Everyone on the staff is super knowledgeable and they all made me feel part of the family.

My friend and I had a wonderful time at the Ayurvedic Health Retreat. The staff was warm and welcoming and went above an beyond to make us feel at home. The rooms and facilities were super clean. The food was AMAZING. And the treatments/therapist were top notch. I only stayed for 3 days and my only regret is I couldn’t stay longer. I left feeling more balanced, relaxed, and a strong sense of healing. I will be making it a priority to visit the AHR again in the future.

It over exceeded my expectation. Everything was wonderful - accommodations, treatments, service, everyone was warm and friendly. Can't wait to my next stay there.
***I answered the following questions regarding hotel style even those it's not a hotel.

I spent 12 days at the retreat., and had the best experience ever. The kindness of staff is incredible. I have a very restricted diet, and all the chefs (from South Africa, Dominican Republic, Peru, Brazil) went out of their way to feed me. The panchakarma treatments allowed me to open my heart for healing body and spirit. The twice a day yoga sessions were restoring for my body and soul. The journey at the retreat made me a stronger grateful human being. I highly recommend it.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! This was the worst experience at a "so-called healing rejuvenation retreat" I have ever had!!!! I was promised so many different things by the male manager Hosea. But he was a dishonest, swindling con artist. He did nothing he promised and measured up to nothing he said. This place does not offer authentic Panchakarma and overcharges for everything they claim to offer. It is just a money maker here and they greatly take advantage of people especially ones with serious medical issues. They have charges on your bill that you do not even know you are getting. I was treated like a second-class citizen here and was very disrespected, specifically by one of the female managers Danielle. There was no kindness, compassion, or caring from anyone here towards me. I was promised transportation but then it was taken back the next day. Instead, they cater to people that look a certain way and that isn't from a specific ethnic group. I also had many other issues here and even experienced racist comments from the manager's wife, that he insisted, I request her to do my massages. She talked too much before my massage sessions, brought up inappropriate things during them, talked about other guests staying there in a negative way. She also did not ever have the room set up beforehand. Lastly, the owner is very hands-off, has acted beyond careless, clueless, and has extreme lackluster regard for all the clients and all that is going on at his place. He did not even give me an in-depth consult as he read my paperwork during our scheduled meeting and was unprepared. He never checked on me after the treatments and did not do what he said he would do and what I paid for. My health was put at risk, by being served allergens multiple times that were known to them well in advance. I requested a refund and had to go back and forth to finally get it because they are so disgusting here and could not just admit they were wrong. The main manager Hosea chose to be disrespectful, rude, ignorant, arrogant, petty, immature, cowardly, and ignore all of my calls, emails as well as my mother's for follow-up. He could have still been tactful and tried to be a man of integrity on this issue but he chose to act like a little child, even though he and his staff were wrong. I will never come here again and in good faith cannot ever refer anyone here. Everyone here is extremely unprofessional. The staff is disorganized and everyone has a different answer for the same question. Their behavior is disgusting, abhorrent, deplorable, and beyond dishonest. I even caught the staff talking about me negatively when they did not realize I was standing there and coming into the room. The staff also talks about negative things and other people in Spanish but they did not realize I fully speak and understand. They were completely unprofessional and absolutely embarrassing. They overcharge for many things on your bill, that are not worth the price or value and did not even happen. The facility is off a major highway and very loud and you will not get the rest you think and need. It is even loud in the building during treatments and this takes away greatly from your experience. It is just not worth it! They are discriminatory in who they treat, love care, and respect. The specific ethnic group I am part of, they body treated badly on purpose. No rest or relaxation was obtained here but just a horrible headache. I had to come back home and continue to argue with this company because of all the heinous acts they did do. Do not give your money to this establishment. You will be overcharged, taken advantage of. They bring shame and disgrace to the very name of Ayurveda. Most of all, it is not worth it and they do not deserve your patronage. If nothing I said was true, I would not have taken the time to post such a detailed truthful review. This place does not match what they claim to do and have at this facility. So, do not come here!!!!! Please save your money and go somewhere else. You will be happy you did an

I had a phenomenal panchakarma experience at Ayurveda Health Retreat. I would recommend visiting AHR if you are looking to rest and heal and would like to learn more about Ayurveda. I found the space to be warm and welcoming. The staff are exceptional and very kind, considerate, and supportive. I felt that I was taken care of throughout my entire stay. The treatments are very restorative. The practitioners are true healers. I noticed a positive shift in my symptoms during my five days there. I learned a lot about ayurveda, myself, and changes I can make to my daily routine to be more supportive going forward. Learning my prakriti and vakriti during my ayurvedic consultation provided a new roadmap in understanding and treating my symptoms. I really enjoyed the delicious food and the variety of yoga and meditation offered. Visiting AHR allowed me a chance to rest and recharge and gave me a lot of hope that I can continue to decrease the impact of my conditions going forward. Thank you to everyone at AHR for providing an amazing retreat experience. I can't wait to return.

Words cannot do my trip to AHR justice, but I'll do my best. I took this trip as a desperately needed mental health break as a stay-at-home parent of 3 lovely rambunctious boys. From my first call with Danielle, I knew that I had stumbled upon a little piece of heaven, and that I was meant to go to this place. Every single employee from Rich (the owner) to the housekeeping ladies exudes kindness and anticipated my every need. Emily, you could manage a Fortune 500 company, but instead you choose to be here, serving others and supporting them on their healing journeys. Jose (another manger) was always so polite and helpful. I stayed for 5 days, and went to yoga twice daily. Every yoga instructor blew me away with their ability to read a group of yogis and adjust so that everyone was relaxed and comfortable. Narayan has a special ability to be present and grounded in his teaching, yet also inspirationally chill and easy-going. The meals were all fantastic, and I especially loved the chai tea in the mornings (who needs coffee when the tea is this tasty?!) My treatments included Marma massage, Reiki healing, and life-changing Breathwork from Madhavi. I experienced such a breakthrough during my breath work session, that I'm confident I will now have a firm handling of my chronic pain that has plagued me for 5 years. I am so grateful to have found AHR, and I hope to return soon! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for helping me rest, repair, and find clarity.

I had the most amazing experience at the Ayurveda Health Retreat. It is a magical place with the most wonderful staff. The food and healing services were amazing, as were the yoga classes and meditation. I did not want to leave! Will definitely return next year.

With some recent health issues, this was a perfect get away for my husband I to rejuvenate - healthy food, slower pace, yoga and long massages. We weren't sure what to expect, but everyone was welcoming and there were some nearby parks and springs for some outdoor activities with nature.

Loved finding this Retreat Center - Thanks to my friend sending me info - a small 4 room Ayurvedic Health Retreat house - from the quiet and peace to the superb cuisine to 5 Star Massage and Refxology I recommend this place for anyone seeking rejuvenation, loving-kindness in every way, Balance and Healing plus learning about Ayurvedic treatments, herbs, and dinacharya. I am considering taking a cooking class and mama point class here in near future!
