This has been my local post office for the last 16 years, and no one at the counter has ever made an error when I ship something. Len treats every customer like family, and his professional attitude, accuracy, and friendliness make my visit to the branch a pleasant one. I occasionally use another branch, but the counter staff there are indifferent, less than courteous, and have made numerous, serious mistakes. I feel very lucky that we still have the Alachua branch that treats people well.
Just today, I called about a missing package and Christy (not sure how to spell her name) found it for me and made sure it would get to my carrier for delivery tomorrow. She really cared about helping me. That's why I love to go to our Alachua post office branch.
Five stars all the way for the Alachua branch!

Do not use this USPS for ANY reason. I have been behind a woman who needed service, and the clerk copped an attitude, like she was bothering him, expecting him to do his job. She wanted to pick up a package, and the clerk hemmed and hawed about it, asking her if she really needed it. Seriously! The clerks are as slow as molasses in January going uphill backwards. If I need to mail a package, I will go the extra mile or so to the UPS Store, and spend the extra money.

The post office is very nice. Personnel is very polite and they try to solve any issues. I don't understand why they have so many negative reviews. All of them are related to the specific cases.

This is by far the slowest post office that I have ever shipped with. At 10am there was only one person at the help counters besides that the building itself is very nice from the outside.

Do not use them for international shipping as they do not know what they are doing. My parcel sent to London came back after sitting in Miami for a week. The main office clerk told me there were three incorrect things made: size, value and weight... they still accepted it. No one is going to refund my $400 spent.

Alachua post off in AMAZING! GameStop didn't correct my shipping address, that would have caused a RTS. Arthur located my mail, pulled it to the front desk and called me back to let me know he found it. I'm super happy to shout him out. His effort really made my day.

I really appreciate the friendly faces at this post office. Today I wanted to highlight Arthur who was very helpful. I keep receiving mail for a neighbor who has a similar number address to mine. Arthur was great about following up with the postal carrier to make sure that doesn't happen again. He also checked on the status of a package for me. Overall great customer service. Thank you!

Over the past 4-6 years, this post office staff has gone from excellent to the worst post office staff in Alachua County. I am having a constant problem with the employees putting a yellow slip in my box and no mail. Due to my inability to get to the post office by 5:00 during the week, I can only go on the weekends and when I go, I get only a yellow slip in my box and no mail. A lot of time, I would only magazines in my box and no mail. On some of these occasions they would forget that they had put my mail aside and I would not get my current mail (my bills) until a month later. I have voiced my compliant several time with several different employees and all I get was, "it wasn't me". They are rude and sarcastic. Who wants to be treated like this when we pay over $180 for a box. I have been with this post office since 1979 and never had these issues until about 4 years ago. I have had enough, all I ask is that my mail be placed in my box and that the magazines be left out. I am so thankful for Mr. Len. He is the senior staff that values the residents. He is professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. I know that if it was not for Mr. Len being there, a lot of Alachua's resident would go somewhere else to get there mail. I highly agree with several of the comments made regarding the Alachua, FL Post Office.

As a delivery driver for another carrier, having to call out of work to pick packages up that could've gone in overflow lockers is a little insulting and it costs me money that I don't have. I don't think they consider the reasons why we get PO boxes in the first place. At this point you've costed me $440 in time off work and 9 month in billing for less than $200 in packages THANKS A LOT USPS ???

lol just shut this place down. They delivered a certified letter to my mailbox. Someone paid $5 for them to deliver it like a regular letter.

They never treat our mail kindly. They stuff it into tiny mailboxes instead of using the package boxes. They lose packages. Ruined my child’s recent book purchase.
