I try to stay in as many Hilton properties as I can (want those points !!) but lately I've seen a trend in that the incorrect color of the lighting in the rooms is wrong. Hilton standards are that the CCT (correlated color temperature) of room lighting should be no more than 35K, preferably 30K. The recessed lighting, desk lamp and bedside lamp all had the harsh stark white 50K lamp color. Thankfully the illuminated mirror in the bathroom had the correct color lighting. Hope they correct it for lighting engineers like myself who notice things like this...

Front desk staff is RUDE and have lack of knowledge in their position. It is apparent that they have not been educated in customer service as they are unprofessional. The hotel also does not have access to prepurchase customer payment. Therefore they are not equipped for business entities who are tax exempt.

Stayed here while my mom was in the hospital and the people working the front desk insisted I come there before they would extend my stay one night. I explained I had slept at the hospital after my mother had emergency surgery and just wanted to be sure the room was reserved so my things were safe. Nope. Wouldn’t just help me out. Forced me to go there on their time while my mom is sick. Thanks a lot! I won’t be staying the extra night and I won’t be back. You’d think with so many options available a hotel would understand how important customer service is. I’m moving over to the new Marriott down the street. Your rooms aren’t nice and your hotel is old and musty anyway!

Good location, decent facelift on what seems like an older hotel. just feels a little older and smaller than other embassy suites I've been too. Place is definitely clean and staff should be given kudos for that. Staff was friendly and helpful.Rooms: Clean and nice just feels smaller than other embassy suites I've been too. Room had balcony but doors were sealed so couldn't use but the view of the lake is nice.Nearby activities: Plenty of restaurants and mall nearby. Many within walking distance and some just a very short drive away. Nice walking around the lake tooWalkability: Walk around the lake and park overlooking the lake with restaurants and shops close by including the mall with movie theater.Noteworthy details: Not a negative for me but feels more like a business minded hotel than family oriented in case that's what you are looking for.

Felt dank and musty except when you were in the lobby which smelled like chlorine from the actually pretty awesome indoor pool, which just comes with the territory.Walkability: First night I was able to walk around the mall, around the park and have a beautiful lunch. That's kind of the ideal hotel spot.

No point in having online check-in with the app if you have to wait in a long line to just get a packing pass for a vehicle in a free parking lot. Entire Atrium area is closed off unless they are serving food, giving no place to relax in a larger group; aside from a small area right by the front doors and check-in. Room had a balcony with a deadbolt locked door (could not be used) but faced what appeared to be a hangout spot for staff and guests; all of the noise, smoke, and light coming into the room as an open window but as useless as a solid wall. Bed was the hardest I've ever encountered at this chain. Someone had completely disconnected the bedroom TV and had cables laid all over the TV stand; does not speak well to how detailed the cleaning staff is to not notice that before signing off on the room.

I visited for 2 nights and had a horrible experience with the front desk lady Paula at check in. She had a nasty attitude and treated me like less than human. We had advised the hotel that our check in was going to be late night and they were ok with it. Upon arrival, Paula from Jamaica as her name tag says, treated me like I was bothering her with my presence at the hotel. She had an angry face and never said welcome. People like her should not work in hospitality. Paying customers do not deserve to be treated like trash when they are just checking into the hotel. The first impression is super important and it ruined my experience at the hotel. The room was beautiful and super clean, the kitchen staff was friendly. The checkout experience was also bad. Another lady at 3 am checked us out. She also had a nasty attitude and no customer service manners, almost as bad as Paula from 2 night prior. My check in was 2/10/24 at night and my checkout was 2/12/24 at 3 am (had an early flight to return back home). I would not recommend the hotel if Paula is there.Noteworthy details: Paula from the front desk treated me as less than human. Had the nastiest attitude ever.
