AMI Outfitters Coastal Gear & Men's Apparel is a very nice shop and a wonderful shop on Anna Maria Island. It is the only fly-fishing shop between Sarasota and Tampa and the island's only men's store. The owners are a really sweet couple who are pleasant, kind, and knowledgeable. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, a great bunch of folks who attend to every need. The shop offers spin-fishing and fly-fishing equipment and accessories, with a good selection of saltwater fly rods, reels, line, and flies. The owners provide great fly recommendations, freely share good intel and local knowledge, and offer detailed, helpful information on good spots to try. They carry men's technical clothing for sun and insect protection from premium brands like Patagonia, ExOfficio, and Simms, as well as YETI coolers. Voted Best Outdoor Sports Store from 2016 through 2022, it is a great place with great service and is everything a fly shop should be. It is the go-to fly shop and outdoor clothing shop on the island.
